From my drink that was created despite the cocktail menu(#serverproblems) to the amazing Grand Marnier Salmon w/sautéed russet potatoes and Chefs choice vegetables. The portion was amazing. The pour was even better and the ambiance was everything that I was looking for as a party of one at the bar! Thank you Chad Fox for the amazing hot & dirty as well as the perfect yet attentive service!!! Great job even with a full bar + forty five minute wait!

My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant before the Motown show on 2÷15÷15. We sat at a table next to the bar. After waiting a while the waitress came and ask my boyfriend(who is black) to please leave the restaurant. My boyfriend asked her why and she only kept asking him to leave. Then my boyfriend asked her why your not asking the other people that just came in to leave and she responded that he have to leave. Then he told her I hope you are not asking me to leave because I’m black because if that the case then everyone in this restaurant have to also leave with me. at that point when she saw he was getting upset .she left and another waiter came and inmediatetly served us a glass of wine. We have been in better restaurants than this and never been treated this way. We are not in the 60’S.

Looking for a decent early dinner in downtown crossing is fairly difficult but saw Salvator’s and gave it a try last week. Bartender was new, couldn’t find ingredients and we wished we had just ordered beers or sangria by the time we received our drinks. My wife had and enjoyed the Cucumber Cosmo, I had the ‘honey badger’ but pretty sure the barkeep messed up the recipe — oh well — it was fine. The food was… different but pretty good. The panzanella salad was really an arugula salad with croutons and onions — definitely should be renamed but I enjoyed it. The prosciutto & fig crostini was flavorful and worth getting again. The short rib ‘lombardia’ was a mixed bag. The short ribs and sauce were very good but the polenta was sub-par. For the prices and the hits we had I give this 3 stars but wouldn’t argue with someone rating Salvator’s either 2 or 4 stars either — depending on what you order and who you have for a bartender.

We dropped by before going to a show at the Bank of America Pavilion. It is just a few blocks away and a good place to grab a bite to eat and a few drinks. We sat at the bar although the place looked like hit had a ton of tables in other areas. The place has a nice feel to it and all of the staff were friendly. On this particular Sunday, however, the bar was full and the bartender was crazy busy. They only had one on staff and he was filling drink orders for all of the tables plus trying to keep his customers drinks full and food delivered. The attitude of the people sitting around the bar started to sour as we took second place to the rest of the place. He made up for it by pouring strong drinks. I heard there was another bar in the main restaurant but it wasn’t open on that day. That would certainly help keep the main bartender out of the weeds. Several members of our group ordered a variety of the food from the appetizer menue & pizza options. In talking with them and others around me at the bar the food sounded wonderful. The Cesar salad(good dressing, not too much of it) & the bruschetta were great. The pizzas seemed very popular as everyone in the bar area had one in front of them or their group. The food looked great and everyone seemed to really enjoy their pizza choices. They have the standards as well as some unique options to try also. Food Prices were average… drink prices were slightly high but given its location and the décor of the restaurant I wasn’t surprised.

Stopped in last night after a wedding since all the bars and lounges in the area had a line out the door. All we wanted was a place to hang out and grab more drinks. Staff was amazing. Super friendly and accommodating. Their drinks were good — martinis were strong, just the way I like them. Some of my friends order food and all had high praises. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their food.
