I teach private drum instruction to people of all ages and levels of playing experience. When you walk through the doors of my studio for your first lesson, the drum set is yours for however long your lesson is. I want my students to feel at home, and inspired to make music when they are studying with me.
Although we do start with studies of technique and basic drum set knowledge (assuming you’re a beginner), we’ll be on the kit and playing before the end of the first lesson. Music is always at the forefront of every lesson I teach; any concept or idea we cover will be taught in conjunction with some application to a song or some genre of music in general.
I bring my own personal passion for playing the drums to every lesson, and from my own personal experience as a drum teacher, it seems to rub off on everyone that steps inside my studio. History
Established in 2007.
I’ve been proudly spreading my passion and knowledge for the drums since 2007, and have continued to not only develop as a musician myself, but also continued to develop as a teacher and mentor. Part of my development as a teacher and drummer since I first began teaching have been graduating Magna Cum Laude from the Berklee College of Music with a BA in Drum Set Performance, as well as touring parts of the United States and Canada with multiple original bands, including Goosepimp Orchestra, Naughty Octopus, the New Review, the Rolling Tide, and the Grass Gypsys. I am also an experienced cover musician, and spent over a year with one of Boston’s most acclaimed wedding bands, Goodwill and Them Apples. Today, I am at the highest level of teaching and playing that I ever have been, and am excited to share everything I’ve learned with YOU!
