The Thai tofu is so fantastic. The perfect vegan option. Spring rolls and veggies were not special at all, but the main entrée was great.

Of the several food trucks fanned about, this one seemed to most likely to stock vegan options. After some discussion with the lovely ladies at the window, we determined that the tofu curry was probably the only safely vegan option. The accompanying spring roll and mixed greens were a nice varied touch but y’all, that red curry, spicy, like legit mouth-tingly spicy, in a thick curry sauce, with very generous slabs of lightly fried tofu. I like Thai curry as much as the next gal, but I rarely order it at restaurants for fear that it will arrive a watery bland mess. Needless to say, my heart and belly sang and simmered with blissful curry joy. My friend had settled upon a meaty grilled cheese from another food truck, which she described as underwhelming. Fortunately for her, the sizable portion of tofu curry permitted us to share. And seriously though, she still lusts for this particular curry, a few months later. I attempted to replicate this curry at home, with«it’s okay but it’s didn’t do the trick» results and we’ve been to a couple of highly rated local Thai restaurants in search of something comparable. No luck thus far. Basically the tofu curry is strong as hell here, so go get you some!

Their phở is beyond amazing. I’ve probably lost weight ever since they stopped coming to BMC. Love their Korean bbq tofu.

Went to this food truck while I was at the SOWA festival. I had never been before but was in the mood for some Phở. After confirming to the person on the truck that their phở was good, I got that with extra meat. For the meal I got the phở, a dumpling, and a water for $ 8. $ 8! That’s basically unheard of pricing for Boston. And the best part is that the phở was delicious. I haven’t had phở since moving from LA, but this really hit the spot. The dumpling I had was also very tasty and the meal as a whole was extremely filling. This truck is definitely worth checking out as the food is phenomenal and the pricing can’t be beat. Hope to check this truck out again sometime soon.

I got the tofu ramen and the tofu was bland and dry while the ramen broth was bland as well and full of whole leaves of cilantro which made it hard to eat. It was cheap though. And the noodles were good.

Love their spicy pork rice bowls. Great flavor and plenty of meat. For the serious carnivore you can also order extra pork.

I’ve been having food truck for lunch the past couple of weeks around BMC and this truck comes Tuesdays and Fridays. I usually order brown rice with peanut chicken or tom yum curry chicken. I tried the fried crispy rolls one time because a coworker suggested it, but it was soggy and bland… Not worth it IMO, but a lot of others like it. The peanut chicken is good but a little greasy. The tom yum curry with rice is REALLY filling and you have to finish it or whatever you save will just become soggy. I’ve also noticed that their chicken is kind of dry and tough I know people who has gotten the sandwiches and loved it. The phở looks pretty good too, but it’s just too hot to eat hot noodle soup right now! I find that for the price is decent for lunch, but it always give me food coma afterwards!

$ 6 for a heap of mesclun, crisp sprouts, carrots, grilled or braised korean chicken. outstanding value, a default Sunday grub(unless you’re buying restaurant lunch).

This review is for the spicy pork sandwich only. I would have waited till I got to try more things, but I don’t think I’ll get the chance before I leave Boston. And I can’t not give the spicy pork sandwich its due. The sauce. Oh, the sauce. Spicy, a little creamy. Magical. I crave it.(I would say the spice level is medium to high, depending on your spice tolerance). The three times I’ve had it, the pork was juicy, nice and hot(temperature-wise), and well-marinated. Veggies. Pretty typical carrots, daikon, cilantro. Bread. The weakest part of the sandwich. I feel like a good baguette should have a delicate, crusty outside, soft inside, and freshly baked flavor(if not still a little warm). This was nothing special. But the sauce. And the pork. And the sauce. So good. Oh, and the sandwich is HUGE. I split it into two meals and was stuffed for both. Not bad for ~$ 5 bucks.

Momofuku is Korean for lucky peach. Momogoose is Foodie for lucky Friday because that’s the only day this truckload of tasty graces the South End. The sandwiches are always a good option if you need to scarf it down while you walk. The Bulgogi Beef is decent, and the Korean BBQ chicken/tofu tastes too much like teriyaki. The Fresh Rolls are fresh but a bit overpriced for what they are, but the Crispy Rolls make a well-fried midday snack. The Viet Curry is yummy-sweet and filling, and the Lemongrass Curry carries a kick. Just check your curry carefully — last time I asked for tofu I got chicken. And I ate every last bite anyway.

Definitely a nice option in this area without too many Asian choices, only comes Fridays as far as I’m aware. Their baguette sandwiches are too spicy, probably better without the jalapenos which I’ll have to request next time. The vermicelli bun noodles come with arugula salad, which is not the typical combination with bun(usually it’s chopped up lettuce, cucumber), but good enough overall to satisfy a bun craving.

I tried the lemongrass chicken in a noodle bowl and couldn’t believe how much food you get for $ 6! Granted there were tons of noodles, but there was a good amount of chicken on top. It also came with some mixed greens and veggies on the side which were fresh and crisp. I like that you can add your own spicy chili sauce, soy sauce, etc. Nice lunch option near BMC!
