Stephen was incredibly flexible in scheduling my appointment. He instantly made me feel at ease despite this being my first appointment with him. We chatted about our days before we discussed what I was looking for in a haircut. While I was clueless what I wanted, he had suggestions (after running his hands through my hair, always a nice feeling). The haircut was efficient and fun. I rarely think about my haircut until the next morning after I wash my hair for my first time in the shower. I was pleasantly surprised by how versatile the haircut was for me; I could dress it up or down, it was business professional and casual. I am sure that this haircut will suit me for a while, and that I will be a regular now.

What can I say? He really is as good as it gets. REALLY. I too first came to Stephen when working in the financial district (I think back in 2007 or 2008). I now work in the Back Bay; but will follow him wherever he goes (in Boston that is). I’m not terribly picky, and a bit adventurous. Pretty much every time I see him I tell him to have at it. Clearly we have a discussion before proceeding, but he knows exactly what to do with my cut and color and I LOVE his suggestions :-)

Stephen is perfection. He really takes the time to understand what you are looking for, how you typically style and care for your hair, and what your expectations are. I have really challenging hair to cut because it is pin straight and shows every scissor cut – Stephen did an incredible job making my hair look effortless and voluminous! Plus, he’s full of great advice for caring for your hair, ideas on how to style it, and even best training methods for a marathon. I highly recommend Stephen! You won’t be disappointed!

I first came to Stephen when I began working downtown in the Financial District. He was a great find! Stephen is as good as it gets. He’s able to accommodate any style or cut that I ask for, and I always leave ecstatic with my haircut. He’s always flexible with scheduling and I even pop in for a quick clean up from time to time which is great. I can’t recommend Stephen highly enough. Supremely talented and a true professional.

Stephen is AMAZING! I have been to many stylists over the years & can honestly say he is the cream of the crop. His experience in the industry is impressive & he understands how to give a great cut based on the client’s individual needs. He truly listens during each pre-​appointment consultation, asks questions to ensure he fully understands my needs, and offers great input & advice to help me achieve the style I’m after. I’ve been going to Stephen for almost a year & I fully trust him to keep my hair on point… he delivers exceptional results every time!

Well let me put it this way. I met Stephen about 7 years ago now. He sadly met me after I had just moved back from Chicago and went to a salon I wont name on Newbury Street that not only messed up my color, the cut of my hair, but ended up leaving some dye in underneath so that I now have little to no feeling on the back of my head in spots. So needless to say when he met me I was not a happy camper. I told Stephen point blank If you do what I ask, if you do what I want, if you dont just do what you think but you do as I want you to with my hair I will not only continue to come back to you but I will bring you a lot of business. And after my first cut and color with Stephen a relationship was formed. He has been my hair dresser, my friend, and basically has become a confidant in my life over the past 7 years. I go to him every 3 weeks or so and I have never left crying. There are times he may need to cut more than I like or do something a little different, but with the trust we have formed I let him do what he needs to now. I am soo picky with my hair that its been a pleasure to have him in my life ! I also am a Makeup Artist in the Boston area and I recommend Stephen to alot of my clients. The work he does for updo’s or blow outs its like no other ! I have never had anyone complain about how amazing his work is and his professionalism. IF you are unsure let me reassure you he is worth taking a chance on !
