Stone Photo helped reproduced for us an old large size family photo. Friendly, attentive, professional service. They had records on file from original visit some time ago. And they went out of their way to be flexible and timely in getting the job done.

Over priced, save your money and go to CVS. This place is a joke.

I was told of this shop by Bromfields Camera in the Downtown Crossing area. I went there with some art work that needed to be framed, yet I cannot afford to pay very much for custom frames. They have packaged frames that was in the price range that I wanted to spend. I was happy to leave my art with them with a small deposit and return to retrieve of the work at another time. They can do the work same day but I did not require of this. When indeed I traveled again to Boston and made my way to their shop my art work was much better for it with a window frame for my walls at home. I returned another time with yet another print for them to mount on frames and left it there for sometime; returning to retrieve of the piece some weeks later. I don’t think they like for folks to leave things for days on end; but still I came and paid for my work… they shoed me out quickly enough knowing I will not return with more insulting art work since I have no income. I am saying thank you, is all. Take care.

Excellent customer service, inexpensive, and speedy! I took a photo of my father-in-law’s sailboat, taken from an iPhone, in to be enlarged and framed. In 8 minutes, they helped me choose the appropriate sized print and frame, and rang me up. I paid less than half of what I was expecting, and they were able to answer all of my questions as well as suggest better hooks/​wires for hanging. I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to get the picture to my father-​in-​law by his birthday (in 2 days) but they said it would be ready in the next five hours, framed and all. I’m impressed and would highly recommend Stone Photo to anyone!

It is rare to find true professionals anymore. I had several very old photo albums (many decades old) that I wanted to preserve in digital form as a gift to a family member. The professionals at Stone Photo painstakingly and carefully removed over 150 photos to scan, replacing them in the albums exactly as they were. I was nervous to leave this album with anyone, and truly appreciate the care they took, delivering me a set of wonderful images in only a few days. Just terrific!

Nothing beats a true professional. I was given four embroidered pieces by an elderly relative and wanted to frame these new family heirlooms, but I didn’t know where to start and how to keep it within budget. I went to a different frame store at first, where the first (and much repeated) question they asked was «how much do you want to spend?» That’s a very difficult question to answer when you know nothing about framing.
At Stone Framing, David never asked that question. Instead, he listened to what I was looking for, and when I said I wanted something simple and affordable yet lovely, he recommended working with in-​store frames and custom matting the embroidery to create a beautiful end result that was still within budget. Each framed piece cost me less than $ 30.
David also has a great eye for color and he helped pick out mattes that accented the unique designs perfectly. The whole process was quick, pleasant and just great! Also, they were finished in less than 2 days! I will definitely come here for all of my future framing needs. Highly recommended!

Customer service is a dying art. Come to Stone Photo for customer service as it should be. Owner /​manager Doug Smalling will make you glad you came in to print some photos, custom frame job, or old family photo restoration. All work is terrific quality. Is it more expensive than stores competing solely on price? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes.
