History

Welcome to Stuparich and Nouel Dental Associates. Our practice was founded in 1999 by Dr. Mauro Stuparich and Dr. Alexandra Nouel. Our practice includes two prosthodontists who offer general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Our facility is in Boston, on the border of the Back Bay and the South End. Our modern office is inside of the historic Electric Carriage House.

Business Owner

Dr. Stuparich graduated from Tufts University’s School of Dental Medicine in 1991. He received several additional years of training in prosthodontics from Tufts University. Prosthodontists offer the highest level of expertise in full mouth reconstructions, implant dentistry, and creating and maintaining the most esthetic and functional crowns, bridges, and fillings. Dr. Stuparich became increasingly interested in dental implants and returned to the Misch Institute which is the nation’s leading program for implant training and has an affiliation with Temple University. In 2007, he finished an advanced surgical and prosthetic implant program at the Misch Institute. Dr. Stuparich is committed to giving patients the highest quality of implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and esthetic crowns, bridges, and fillings.

I have been going to Stuparich and Nouel Dental Associates for over 10 years now. I have always received excellent care. Daneille, the office manager, is extremely helpful setting up appointments around my crazy schedule. She also handles all insurance questions and problems. She is a whiz! I have never had a dental hygienist as friendly and informative as Laurie. She gives a great cleaning and gives me great advice and feedback on brushing. She even got me to start flossing! Drs. Nouel and Stuparich are very professional and put you at ease. i’ve never found them to do or recommend unnecessary procedures. The work I have had done has always been excellent, and they are not satisfied until you are completely comfortable with the outcome.
I have referred many of my friends over the years and they always thank me. It is rare to be so satisfied with not only the dentist, but also the whole office. I didn’t think I would ever say it, but with Dr. Stuparich and his crew, I don’t mind going to the dentist!

I bought a $ 49 Groupon for a dental cleaning, exam, and x-​rays. Often I feel as though using a Groupon gets you poorer service, but that definitely was not the case here, and it was a total steal.
The hygienist, Miriam, was hilarious and personable, and apparently has mastered the art of only asking questions that require more than a yes-​no response when she has the instruments OUT of your mouth. Amazing! Why is no one else capable of this?
They took digital x-​rays and also cool tooth-​cam photos of each of my teeth, so they can track any changes over time
Dr. Nouel was friendly and didn’t freak out about some discoloration on my molars which looks like decay, but isn’t. I have really never had a better experience at the dentist. I left with a clean mouth and a new dentist!

I usually don’t write reviews but I had to this time. Dr. Stuparich is absolutely fantastic. He clearly explained everything to me and went above and beyond to make sure my care was the best it could be. Everyone in the office was very friendly and I will be happily going back to this office for many years to come!

Had a groupon for a cleaning and xrays. Very thorough cleaning. Friendly staff. Convenient location. Doctor who was knowledgeable and honest, but not pushy about selling services. Impressed by the high tech camera to record what teeth currently look like, to help track cavity development (in addn to xrays). Also, they had glasses to protect your eyes from the bright lights, and it included an oral cancer screen, which I had never had with any other dentist.

I’ve been a client of Dr. Nouel and Dr. Stuparich for the past 4 years and I have gone from pulling my 4 wisdom tooth, crowns, cleaning to having my children and entire family join in. Both Dr. Stuparich and Dr Nouel can praise themselves for being so detail oriented. The quality of their work is amazing. They take their time to make sure everything they do is 150%. The practice runs very smoothly, appointments are always on time, all staff is caring and pleasant. I highly reccomend them to everyone I know.

I was very disappointed with this office. They seemed more interested in money than care. They pulled a cap off during a cleaning and wanted to charge $ 90.00 to put it back on. I would never recommend this dentist.

I am in town for a convention at the Hynes and last night when I was eating, a crown fell off. Not just a crown, mind you, but pretty much a whole tooth secured by a post. In the front. Suddenly, I looked like Aunt Minnie from the Hill Country.
The concierge at my hotel sent me here. I called at 7:30 and they were open AND answered the phone. First *. They could fit me in at 9 am. Second *. The offices were bright, modern with art on the walls. Third *. The equipment was modern and clean, the Dr. Stuparich spoke authoritatively, fixed my immediate problem and gave me recommendations re my options when I get home. Fourth *. They were nice, kind, calm, helpful and professional. Fifth *.
I have only had four dentists in my life (I’m 50) and only changed due to relocation. If I lived here, this office would have all my business.

I used a Groupon for my appointment at Stuparich and Nouel. My experience was not very good — I’m not sure if they rushed things/​did a less than stellar job because of the Groupon, or if this is how they normally operate. The hygienist was extremely friendly, but usually I leave the dentist with that super-​clean-​slippery-​teeth feeling, and that was not the case here. She also kept pointing out areas that she thought I might have cavities and suggesting teeth whitening, etc. I have never had a cavity in my life and my teeth are perfectly white, so I was very suspicious of her exam — and told her that I was not interested in whitening or any further exploration. I got the same script from the dentist as well — and she was less friendly and even more rushed about it, too. Cut to 6 months later and I still do not have any cavities or any issues with the whiteness of my teeth. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

I stumbled into this office yesterday to pick up my cousin who’d had a major procedure done (I’m talking an 8am-​4pm day. Yipe!) Since I was looking for a new dentist I decided to go for it. Who wouldn’t want their teeth cleaned at an office who could also perform major work? Anyhow, I was so pleased that I scribbled down this review from the dentist chair. You read that right. They were just too nice, too professional, and too thorough to not have a great review on Unilocal.
Aside from the cool staff, comfortable and clean office atmosphere, and great music they had playing, the staff at Stuparich & Nouel Dental Associates are really on top of their game. There are very few dentist who will talk to you about oral care and it’s importance holistically. Also, they were very upfront about what was worth spending money on, and what wasn’t. IE: «Zoom Whitening is faster, but won’t get your teeth any whiter.» I totally appreciated the honesty and now are much more likely to spend the money when they DO recommend it.
Another thing that was really refreshing? Laughter in the office. They really seem to like working with each other and that positive energy is contagious.
