The structure of our outings are designed to exercise your pup in a group atmosphere. We use the power of the pack to focus your dog so we can adventure around the Boston area. Our 60 and 90 minute walks give us the ability to explore areas of the city that they might not get to otherwise. The group environment helps each of them gain a certain confidence around the sounds and sights of a bustling hub, foster community between each pup in the group, and really excel on focused on-​leash walking that will transcend their time out with us. Our goal is to cater to your dogs every need while creating an atmosphere of exercise and growth for each of our charges.

Above all, our concern is for both you and you dog. To know that your pup is safe, in loving and knowledgable hands, and getting the outdoor and socializing time they need is invaluable. History

Established in 2013.

When I founded The Fetching Hound, it was my intention to build a place where we could all find the things we need and love. It’s been a wild ride, and in April of this past year, we celebrated our 1 year anniversary! It’s been an excellent adventure with all of these pups, and we hope that you’ll be part of our steady growth.

A Boston transplant, I began walking dogs in early 2010 and haven’t looked back since. Over the years, I’ve tried to focus my walking to emulate my own personality — that is, I like to take my pups out on adventures to explore the city. I am a very curious fellow. It just so happens that me and my pups get to experience and learn so much about Boston and Cambridge while we’re out, with the dual benefit of us all getting a terrific amount of exercise while I get to learn about this very unique and lovely city. It’s a great way to satiate my need for information.

I founded The Fetching Hound to explore longer, more physically intense days with my dogs. Here, I get to not only see the sights that the city has to offer, but by allowing me time with your pup, I get to consider the nature of us all, here together, in Boston. As a friend of mine has said, being able to investigate the Buddah-​like qualities of an animal is tantamount to discovering aspects of oneself. And that’s just special.
