Specialties
The Goods JP is Beth Troisi’s opportunity to combine all of her experience and her eclectic interests into a place where people can get great home cooking in a hearty atmosphere rich with history and artistic flair.
History
Established in 2013.
The roots of our childhoods often run deep, shaping the people that we become. For Beth Troisi, that means good food and good people.
Beth has been building and refining her culinary skills since she was a child, much like one’s own language and identity. Although she trained professionally at Johnson and Wales, it was Beth’s grandmother that sparked and cultivated her early culinary passions.
To escape the chaos of home, Beth had spent a lot of time with her grandparents sharing in the routines and adventures of life. She shares her memories of beds covered with cooling homemade ravioli and catching eels off of bridges around Boston. Beth half-jokingly refers to cooking and learning new things as the best way to keep her out of trouble.
Meet the Business Owner
Beth T.
Business Owner
Beth has been working with food for over 30 years, but she also has a degree in Metalsmithing. She started collecting unique items when she was eight years old. Beth’s grandfather would bring her to Harolds in Lawrence, MA to barter for books, which is also where Beth held her first job sorting jewelry.
Many of the photos you’ll find throughout her home and restaurant are part of Beth’s collection. She purchased them from a homeless man for whom she used to buy food. One day, she noticed his cart of photos and bought the whole lot from him.
Above all else, Beth simply believes in being nice, patient and giving people what they want.
