You know I’m being honest as I can be! Nothing worst than being hungry after you’ve dished out some cash! Had a party for a retiree and the food was disappointing. Salty as hell! Even the salad. How do you put salt on salad?! One friend send her food back after 1 minute. When more than 1 person including yourself complains something is wrong, than something is wrong. I won’t be back anytime soon. Small ass portions. Money not well spent!

This place is great for so many different kinds of occasions. Having been here for quite a few corporate parties and such, I do appreciate specific things that Venezia provides and are very unique to them: — Location: Beautiful ocean views pretty much wherever you get seated in the main restaurant. That is probably my favorite part of this restaurant. It is in a very unassuming place — quite away from the city per say, yet with enough parking spaces, next to the Boston Winery. Depends on what the occasion is, but ideal for small get togethers in their banquet room or a dinners with family /friends. — Ambiance: Very demure and classic old school is how I would describe the ambiance here at the Venezia. I have always been here for dinners and late evening events. Would not necessarily call it a romantic spot, but depending on the time of the year, it could very well be. Traditionally the place is quite busy during the holiday season and around the expected times of the year when everyone is out and about. — Food: I must say some of the best Italian food that I have had in the Boston metro area, Venezia is up their on the list of top 10 for sure. Every thing I have tried here has been always outstanding. The price tag totally justifies what is served. From the appetizers to the main course, everything is of good quality and prepared with utmost case and dedication. The flavors are rich and absolutely satisfy your taste buds and of course your belly(expect big portions!). I do not feel like I should single out one dish from another, given I try something new every time I go to this place, but if I had to go for a repeat for some of my favs, I would easily go with the following(apps /main course etc): — Calamari Fritto(app) — Crab cake(app) — Veal Scallopini & Lobster Cardinale — Braciole On a side note, if you like your Chocolate Martini to be clear, you are in for a treat! And don’t feel shy to lick the chocolate crusted rim of your martini glass — I do not! — Service: Pretty awesome. During my last visit, our table had a bunch of folks taking care of our party. A special shout out to Isaac who was always around for anything that any of us needed. In a nutshell, I feel this place is for those who like a homey atmosphere and hence, the drive away from the madness of seaport or anything downtown Boston is really worth it. The wine selection is pretty amazing — given their affiliation with Boston Winery next door(which btw, is another beautiful space for throwing a great event). The bar is not too big but then again, you won’t find it to be crowded either. And if you manage to get a seat right by the window overlooking the Atlantic and the sea vessels at various stages of their transit, what more can you ask for?!

Disappointed. Stopped in Friday night for a quick drink and app. My Tequila Sunrise was a sunset. I sent it back and stuck with a beer. My honey ordered a martini which she thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered us a shrimp cocktail. It was $ 15 for four jumbo shrimp. Quite pricey when you consider the Granite Links Restaurant gives you a dozen jumbo shrimp for $ 12 Hmmm. So $ 35+ for 2 drinks and a app will prevent this Scotsman from wetting his whistle there again …

Over priced, food not good. We went there for dinner and the wait was probably ½ hr or more(quite popular probably due to the fact that it’s right near the water so you get to see the ocean view). Besides the nice ocean view, food was just not good. Calamari was nothing but grease… very oily! We ordered mussels and another dish. Only the mussels was ok but I don’t think anyone can mess this up? I’m giving 1 star for the view!

Not a 5 Star restaurant… but definitely a 4 Star location. I think Venezia is a little bit of a surprise because it’s a little bit out of the way. Food was great. Had the roasted vegetable and hummus appetizer… and it was a good size. Had the Linguine and clams(and muscles and shrimp) and it was seasoned perfectly. It was a nice surprise and I would like to go back! I’m guessing the wait staff could use a little more training and diligence… but it wasn’t a problem. Any questions, feel free to private message me.

We arrived here today at 4:30 and asked the hostess if the bar was open… she said ‘yes’…we sat down and waited and waited for a bartender… he finally arrived and we ordered and he came back with half the order… we had to look for him to ask for the ‘other’ drink we ordered… he made the drink and disappeared… we did see a few employees look over and leave… we had to ask for the bill which we shouldn’t been charged for since the service was the worst… after we paid the bill, I asked for the manager and was shown the ‘hostess’ again… I told her that this was the worst service I have ever seen… please don’t say the bar is open when really no one wants to work it… I would like an explanation from a «manager» if there really is one… we have enjoyed this place in the past but will never return… I will wait for a response…

They have changed the atmosphere from uears ago but man, even with a new chef the food is sub-par. Great waiter, nice bar area. We ate in restaurant which is nice but loud. Basically if you have white/grey hair you will like it here.

Love this place. The service is on point. The food is really good. The veal is fantastic, the chicken parm is great and I have had the lobster ravioli which I highly recommend. The atmosphere is great as well. It is located right on the water looking out at Boston harbor. I have been over there a few times and have never had a bad experience.

Came here to celebrate a big anniversary recently. My husband proposed to me at this special place a number of years ago. It was nicely renovated since the last time, which was also an anniversary. The atmosphere was perfectly wonderful, the seafood fresh, well prepared, and delicious. The waitstaff very professional. There is a pretty gazebo outside for pictures.

I had a bereavement buffet luncheon there for 50 people and it was fantastic. The staff, from the catering director to the waitstaff, we’re nothing but professional, caring and helpful with the entire experience. The food was great and the room was perfect. It overlooked the water. I would highly recommended Venezia for any size gathering and will go there again.

Went to stop at the bar for a drink, the bartender was very rude couldn’t be bothered to ask us if we wanted another drink when we finished our first. She had an attitude and didn’t want to be there will never go there again

AWFUL — For the Price($ 35pp) that we paid Just Awful… This was our first and Last time here… We came here for Easter Brunch Buffet — don’t waste your $$$ — small/lame buffet… The only biggest highlight was the dessert table — everything else was lame… There were NO Breakfast items other than Scrambled Eggs, Eggs Benedict and Bacon — NO waffles, NO sausages — Nothing… HAM — alright PRIMERIB — not too bad but could’ve been more flavorful LAMB — Awful — dry and overcooked. Smoked Salmon(Lox) — not too bad ** Would definitely not come here again for a buffet — next year either going to Philips, Amhreins or Tavern in The Square — for either the same price or cheaper — JUSTLAME :(:(

Beautiful atmosphere but a nice view does not substitute for great food especially considering the price. It was not worth the price I paid. I could’ve went to Apple Bee’s with my wife for the same quality food at a fraction of the price.

I recently dined here on a Friday evening. My two friends and I ordered from the Dine Out Boston menu. The food and atmosphere was very disappointing. Upon arrival, there was a valet waiting just inside the door. We self-parked and walked to the front door. He stood to the side, looked up at us and then immediately looked down again — without holding the door open or offering any sort of greeting. My salad was completely wilted, freezing cold(i.e. seemed like it was pre-prepared and put in a freezer) and the dressing was overpowering to the point that I couldn’t actually taste any of the salad. My entrée — «crispy chicken» — was a soupy mess of slimy chicken and even slimier potatoes. I’m not sure what part of the chicken was supposed to be crispy but it was so unappetizing and I barely ate any of it. My friend ordered a steak and it was so tough and full of gristle that she couldn’t eat any of it. For our $ 39 deal, we also got our choice of 3 mediocre desserts. I ordered the crème brûlée. It was obviously burnt and was inedible. Despite the fact that 2 of our 3 entrees were barely touched, the waiter came and whisked away the plates without question. Admittedly, the restaurant has an incredible view of the city but we were seated in the back and missed out on the view. It was freezing cold and my friends had to put their jackets on mid-way through dinner. MIdway through our dinner, a large party(15+) of women came in for a surprise birthday dinner and they were unbelievably loud, shouting and screaming. It was very disruptive and difficult to hear anything over all the noise. All in all — a very disappointing experience. I would not return.

This beautiful waterfront location in Dorchester is what many would consider a hidden jewel in the city. I’ve had the opportunity to visit it’s event space, as a wedding guest, and the restaurant, as I chose to host a birthday dinner there(party of 30). I gave the restaurant 3 stars because of the service. The waiter was quite rude, and appeared to be agitated or annoyed and impatient. He yelled down the table to try to obtain drink orders as opposed to going to each individual. I didn’t each much, as the waiters attitude completely killed my appetite, but the feedback from others was that it was very good. The management was very accommodating to our large party. The review would have gotten more stars if the waiter had a better attitude and demeanor.

There’s one simple trick to determining whether or not a restaurant values the type of people they attract to eat in their establishment: Look around the room and ask yourself do they serve men in shorts? If the answer is no, then it’s clear that appearances and taste matter. Smart Casual is the dress code, and while that means a lot of navy blazers, it also means jeans and a button up are acceptable attire for the evening. If you’re planning on noshing in Birkenstocks this isn’t the place for you. If you’re looking to impress a client or a date, however, you’ve found one of the few inconspicuous culinary destinations just outside of Boston. The cuisine shines vivid against the city skyline and the pleasant scent of saltwater wafts up from the surrounding harbor. Notable dishes include the filet mignon – a fluffy pillow of beef loin cooked to tender angelic perfection and surrounded by a sharp contrast of roasted tomato and Gorgonzola cheese – and the veal & farfalla, a generous cauldron of tangy veal braised in a sauce so delicious you’ll want to lick it off of your fingers. The portions and quality justify the costs of the meals here. Though it’s easy to spend upwards of $ 100 on a two-person meal, it’s hard to beat the feeling of a genuine upscale dining experience. 9.5÷10 only because the noise level made it a bit hard to carry on conversation with my girlfriend.

Chances are if you were trying to get here and couldn’t find your way, you stopped to ask me for directions while I was walking my dog. If you didn’t then I definitely saw you drive by a million times looking for it. I’ve been here several times seeing as it is just a hop, skip and a jump away and while they don’t get everything exactly right, it’s still pretty good. I’m bummed they took chicken voldastano off the menu but that finally got me to try other equally yummy dishes. I can honestly say everything I have had so far has been delicious. They use a little too much garlic for my husband’s taste but it’s perfect for mine! Drinks are always tasty and of course, the best part, is the atmosphere/view. The waiters are always very nice and my goodness are they quick(I once asked for marinara to dip my perfectly fried calimari and he literally ran to the kitchen and back to the table). I have only tried the tiramisu for dessert but that is because I adore the little edible butterfly decoration perched on top: o) I’ll be back. Many, many times.

Nice place to eat a lobster and enjoy the water in the backdrop. The clam chowder here is also pretty bomb. Not too thick not too thin, just right with plenty of clam meat and bacon. Definitely the best I’ve tried in Boston so far. Lobster is hard to mess up and everything tastes good dipped in butter :) the foccachia bread they give you is really good too when it’s warm. Dessert was the cheesecake which is artfully presented but other than that nothing too noteworthy.

With an amazing water view of the Boston skyline, Venezia needs only half decent food to pass muster. It does pass, easily. The special linguini with seafood was very good and loaded with lobster, shrimp and scallops, at $ 42 it does appear expensive, but there was an awful lot of lobster in there, and plenty of shrimp and scallops so worth it. Steaks were large and tender, sides were plentiful. Chicken parm is chicken parm, so no surprises, no better or worse than most places. Apps and salads were fresh and tasty, deserts were nicely finished and presented, service was outstanding and the newly renovated space is comfortable and upscale, however the noise level was annoyingly high in the dining room where it was hard to hear some people at our table. Plenty of parking and once you know how to get in and out, easy to find!
