Walter Brown Arena offers free skating for students during the semester. It’s awesome to have the rink almost entirely to myself while I practice, however I went today for the first time and the ice was in terrible shape. I don’t know if that’s the result of two really dedicated hockey skaters who were sprinting up and down the ice for half an hour, or because the zamboni never cleaned up before public skate started.
Either way, I’ll definitely be back because even in bad shape, a rink nearly to myself is better than no rink at all!
