Nice space to throw the ball for my dog. Shady spots and wide open spots. Not at all crowded either!

BECAREFUL, dog walkers! I saw a coyote coming out of a patch of trees while walking my dog here today(1÷31÷15). He looked pretty intent on coming toward my small dog, but luckily I was able to scare him away by yelling.

Centennial Park is a very nice, newer, City of Bothell park. Not only do they have bathrooms and water fountains, but also picnic areas, and the trails, and the BLACKBERRIES. Last year I picked several POUNDS of blackberries out of this park. Some of them were rather small, but others were nice, big, and juicy. No spraying happens at this park(thanks City of Bothell!) The views are nice and you can see out to Thrasher’s Corner.

Centennial Park is a new addition to the Bothell park system. In fact, if you look at aerial shots of the area, most don’t even show it under construction. I love this park for a few reasons: First, they have clean, modern bathrooms. In my line of work, I’m out and about in the county most days, and knowing the location of the nearest clean bathroom is a necessity. Second, they have done a great job with the trails. The area is home to some really neat wetlands, and the trails lead you down to them. My biggest complaint is an overall lack of shaded eating areas. I like to take my lunch outside when I can, and any day I’m not eating in my work truck is a good day. Sadly, Centennial park isn’t a place I can easily do this. Overall, though, I think this park is well worth a visit on a nice day. The trails are extensive, but not too hard, and the facilities are top-notch!
