These guys are great. Very knowledgeable and the inventory (both new and used) is the best.

If they don’t have it they will eventually! Huge selection of new and used guns of every make, caliber and purpose. Very knowledgeable staff, fair prices.
Only downfall is very small parking lot that always seems to be full.

I’m shopping for older (50 – 100 yrs) semi-​auto pistols and I have looked in four counties and in several gun shows. Nobody comes close to DJ’s. The best variety, well-​organized, clean and safe. And free parking! Best shop in the PNW!

Misleading. The sign said pawn and firearms. When I go in, all they take is guns and gun accessories. Disappointed

I perused their selection of over/​unders for about a year, stopping in after work trying to find that «just right» fit. That whole time they never pressured me to buy, and were happy to help me on my quest.
…Finally, after about a year there it was, price was great; their only ask was to come back in to show pictures of the pheasant hunting trip.

Gun stores tend to be a scattered lot, depending on the owner and location, your mileage may vary.
I normally don’t review gun stores based on their tendency to be cookie cutter in their ways of «yes I know more than you», «yes you can see this gun but only on the condition that I stare at you while you gently rack the slide a few times and give it back to me to the extreme social pressure»
I hate that.
I would like to inspect guns free of any sort of judgment or «disappointed dad eyes» from gun store employees.
And DJ’s offers that.
I’ve been on the hunt for a now semi rare gun, a Walther PPK, and to my delight after a phone call, DJ’s had several different Walther PPK’s.
Upon entering what seemed like 4 walls made of guns that just so happened to have plaster behind them, I spotted the case that contained the PPK’s (several of them, to my surprise after not being able to find one) and asked to see it. The clerk behind the counter pulled it out, safety checked it, and to my surprise, after he handed it to me he went back to doing his other activities for the day! He was rearranging other guns as well, and not once did I catch any disappointed eyes or monumental judgement. I was free to check out the gun, field strip, it, compare TWO guns at once without crippling judgement, and check out a few other goodies as well.
Overall I rate my experience a 10/​10, and the inventory a ¹⁰⁄₁₀. The location is fairly inconvenient for me to get to, but I know that when I do choose to purchase my PPK, it’ll be at DJ’s.

These guys are pretty much the best a gun shop gets. Great selection, excellent prices and amazingly friendly, polite, professional staff. I bought a really nice ¹⁰⁄₂₂ here for an excellent deal, a friend has bought multiple rifles from them and they gave him a totally fair deal on a trade in. In fact, they just agreed with his valuation of the gun and gave him that for it. This is the only gun shop in (near?) Seattle that I enjoy doing business with.

Got a good deal here… people here are helpful, and was able to find what i was looking for.
You can also work out a deal with the owner as well… I would definitely come back again and recommend it to others

Very kind knowledgeable salespeople. Being new to guns I felt there were there to help, Even with «stupid «questions. First time in last week. Unbelievable selection and fair prices. The owner was also there which I feel is a good business practice.

Went in today for a new part. Could have bought online. However, they had it in Stock AND once I figured the transfer, it was best to just take home.

One of the best gun stores around! Bruce help me sell a pair of antique pistols and the return was excellent… he is the best. If your trying to sell a antique firearm and your looking for a honest deal this is the place. Furthermore if your needing info on guns or ammo Bruce knows it all!

Absolutely amazing gun store. The selection is massive and the staff was amazing. They were very patient with my girlfriend who knows nothing of guns. I made a very nice purchase of a old school tube fed .22 and it functions and shoots perfect. I am in love with this shop after one visit and am excited to inform my gun buddies and all of my old military brothers of this incredible place. look forward to seeing you all again soon. This will be the only store I use to build my weapons arsenal.

After hearing about these guys for years, finally decided to stop in and boy was i surprised. What i thought was a pawn shop with a nice selection of new and used guns to boot, turned out to be a really nice gun shop with a small selection of other stuff. These guys have it all, and at really good prices. In many instances their springfield, taurus, colt, kimber etc prices were matching the best of internet pricing even. Which in Puget sound is a first. Most gun shops here charge a good 10−30% above internet so this was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the model i was looking for in the caliber i wanted, otherwise i would of bought it on the spot.

This establishment more closely mirrors a «gun club» rather than a gun store. Frequently, you’ll find people just huddled talking about guns. It’s somewhat off-​putting because usually someone is in your way… Go to an online forum for this, and go to sun STORES to actually buy guns. Staff is nice here, one of them seems like an elitist, but otherwise nice.
Their prices are on the high side. I have purchased 2 guns from here and they were both impulse purchased and thus I suppose I deserve paying a premium.
Seem to have a robust stock of guns.
Pros: nice, well-​stocked
Cons: dedicate an area to hold your gun-​huddles, don’t let it interfere with people actually buying guns! Also, drop the «pawn» designation, I mean ¹⁄₇₀^th of your store is pawn related.

awesome staff, super helpful (though busy) and will let you browse to your hearts content. the store isnt super huge but its wall to wall guns withh tons of inventory for the average shooter all the way to some exotic safari krieghoffs and others. i recently bought a shotgun there and the price was amazing, the gun works great and they were all super nice. i love this place!

This place is awesome. I visited it with a friend while I was in the area for a weekend, and was impressed by the selection and knowledge of the staff. Plus they have some of the best prices I’ve seen in the entire country, I just saved right around $ 500, even after shipping and transfer, compared to a fair deal here in Tucson! David, Tina and Bruce are all great folks.
I would visit often if I wasn’t thousands of miles away! Definitely jealous that we don’t have a shop like them in Arizona.

Not just another «pawn & gun store.» I’d say this is currently THE gun store of North Seattle.
2014 Update*
I recently purchased a Springfield pistol from here. The process was fast and smooth. The price was about $ 15 more than the lowest I could find, but I was closer to DJs that day.
Selection & Pricing
* HUGE selection of rifles, the largest I’ve seen (mostly hunting style).
* Selection of «tacti-​cool» rifles was just so-​so.
* Large selection of pistols, especially nice revolvers and 22s.
* OK selection of Sigs and polymer guns.
* Pricing is competitive and negotiable depending on fhe item and who you talk to.
Customer Service
* Not pushy. More like gun enthusiasts rather than sales (meaning more serious than smiles).
Local Competition
* Sams (Everett), Wades (Bellevue) and West Coast Armory (Bellevue/​Factoria) would be the closest stores I know about that have an inventory on display that is reasonably comparable. However I doubt those other stores will choose to compete on price point. u
* I know that the following can compete on price: Pinto’s Gun Store (Renton), Federal Way Discount Guns, Bulls Eye Supply (Tacoma).
What Stand Out The Most
* Huge selection, for sure a good store just to gander at guns.
I highly recommend checking out the store, because of the huge inventory to check out. Dj’s Loan & Sport is one of the few shops that have a very good selection at prices that don’t gouge you.

I will make this review short and sweet. The customer service is great along with the selection of pistols, revolvers and especially rifles (hunting & combat). The only reason they received 4 stars instead of 5 stars is I purchased a used gun and on my first visit to the range it did not fire. I returned the same day and they were happy to take it back which to be honest I am not sure is a common practice; needless to say they made the situation right. In the end I am a happy customer and would buy there again and/​or refer a friend.
Oh ya, I did buy there again already. Enough said.

This local gun store is well stocked and I believe they are also a premier Kimber dealer.
I called Dave (one of the owners) and conversed with him about selling a couple of my guns. He was pleasant and helpful over the phone.
When I finally got around to drop by the store, Dave was off that day. Bruce (the other owner) was just as friendly and helpful. He helped me all the way from the moment I stepped into the store until I completed my transactions.
Excellent local gun store. I will be back to make more purchases. Good dealer!

Family run business, good people.
Technically they are pawn shop, but more so they are a gun shop, and a very good one.
Bruce is the living encyclopedia of classic and modern firearms, and their selection is excellent, especially for us ‘blued steel and walnut’ types.
Many folks just go there to drink coffee and talk guns, always good info to be had.
