Ordinarily I wouldn’t be so harsh toward a salon like Great Clips. You get a cut for dirt cheap, and as we all know, you get what you pay for. Much like Denny’s — you don’t go there because the quality is great, but it’s one of those places you go to in order to save a buck. Well I’ve managed to forgive them for the countless mistakes they’ve made on my son’s hair, and have even gotten over the fact that I’ve had to coach them repeatedly on how to properly cut boys hair. But today they made a change that broke the camels back, and it compelled me to leave a one star review: they no longer accept credit or debit cards. So on top of having to endure a very poor quality product, and having to hand hold them on cutting hair, it’s no longer convenient to pay them for it. Business 101: if you’re profit margins are in the negative, and you’re not planning to do anything to improve your product, just close up shop and spare yourself and everyone else the slow decay of an inevitable flop.

I like the haircut I have getting at this place and my review is based on the behaviour of one of the hairdresser. Don’t wanna write her name but this aged female has no manners whatsoever. She is so rude and ill mannered that I just wanted to storm out of the salon without the haircut. Hey lady if don’t know how to operate the computer and find my account then you first need to learn how to operate that thing and some tips on politeness would also help you a lot. And oh I am not a kid I understand sarcasm when you made fun of me smiling at other customers. People like her really spoil your day

My first visit was excellent, had gotten what I wanted. A comb over hairstyle with the drop off on the sides. So they put in notes for my next visit so I assume it would be relatively the same. However for my next visit I just wanted to confirm the style, I even showed a reference picture(but it seems as if they were not attentive) and I ended up with a fro-hawk haircut. Nonetheless I ended with a buzzed haircut because it was beyond repairable after the first few initial razes.

I confirm what others have said. Their haircut is terrible. I came home to see some front hairs longer than others. I had to do the trimming. Never did this after coming from a saloon. Above all the attitude of my hair dresser is unfriendly. I felt uneasy all the time. Will never visit them again. Went to save some bucks. Wrong decision. Lesson learnt. Don’t pay to get upset !!!

I should have known better… Went in for the cheap cut and after a few days, noticed that the top was much too long. I go back in this morning and the goofy lady at the counter looks at me with a blank state, says it’s going to be an hour wait and that the charge would be full price. WHAT? I have to pay again to fix your mistake? I should have NEVER went there in the first place. Let’s see… How many people can I tell about this bad expierrnce?

Worst hair cut ever! My hair looks terrible and it’s so much shorter than I had asked them to cut. The back is almost to my neck and the front is way below my shoulder! Then there are random long pieces in the back that are sticking out. My husband had to cut to front a little bit so I can go to work tomorrow! I should have known better to not go to a cheap place like this but then I thought to myself, it’s just a straight forward trim. Now I have to go somewhere else in the next day or two to fix this mess. Avoid at all costs, because after all cheap is expensive!

Just wanted to share a terrible experience we had at Great Clips Canyon Park(Bothell) location. My wife brought in our son for a haircut. She just had her Amex card on her and apparently they don’t take AMEX. She was made to leave our son back there, drive home to bring in cash or a Visa. When I asked them about it, they just told me it was Company Policy. They did not even bother answering me when I asked them how we would trust them with our child when they didn’t trust with $ 12 . I reported this incident with Bothell police and they gave them a visit and given them a warning.

Kathy is the best stylist there by far — at least for guys. She’s a real pro and is meticulous. Ask for her and you’ll come out looking like a million bucks.

My favorite hairstyle parlor. What I like about them is, they take notes of what’s your style and what you like to have and they make it sure you have it everytime. Many of my co-workers and cousin have asked me where I get my haircut. I’m more than satisfied with their perfection and service that I pay 30% of gratituity everytime. I know it a lot for a haircut, but I wanted to make sure that they maintain their standards everytime I visit. Next time you visit, ask for Kim, she is my regular hairstylist.

Boyfriend convinced me to come here with the logic that the price can’t be beat. All I wanted was a straight trim, and yet they managed to butcher that. A month later, one side is at least half an inch longer than the other– I was right: there’s a reason you never see girls here. No thanks, pass on this one.

Absolutely horrible, I got my hair butchered at this location. I’ve been a half dozen times and all times I have not been happy.

Look, so it’s Great clips, I really can’t over star it and live with myself, ok? My hair and I have an arrangement. I don’t mess with it much and it doesn’t much mess with me back. We do ok, and that’s how we like it. Considering how I often abuse it w/coloring, I’m thankful the damn stuff doesn’t just up and leave me. It’s thick,…so much so that my mom was always charged«adult» pricing when I got haircuts as a kid.(enter horrid flashback of mom’s «we’ll just lop off the ponytail and call it a cut memories here) It *wants* to be curly, wavy,…and the battle between thick and wavy is often a fun thing to watch if it’s not on my head. I’ve also cut my own hair, layers and all, for the past 15 years. Outside the occasional trim and one or two«wtf I don’t care that’s it down to my ass, i said BOB» haircuts, that is. So, after 3 colorings in less than 2 months… one being my «just for the party bus» coloring trip. I needed a trim. The ends were not pleased, they were trying to split the scene… hardharhar. In, out, cheap. That pretty much sums it up. The did not try to do anything to me, style me, layer me, or convince me they knew my hair better than I did, talk me into a perm(what you got 8 hours to roll this shit *and* a good lawyer?) or sell me their crap. «Take off just what you need to clean up the damaged ends and that’s it please» Thanks.
