My husband had truck issues while we were on an out of state camping trip, we didn’t want a dangerous breakdown while pulling a 32″ trailer. The guys at Midas got his truck fixed the same day and even had by given him options for the repair. We didn’t want a full pricey ac compressor replacement at this time like they could have told us we had to do. Instead they figured out a much more affordable fix that allowed us to get the problem taken care of bypassing the full overhaul. The Last thing you want to deal with while on vacation is car trouble so we were very happy with Midas’ professionalism, service & honesty.

Honest and awesome service! Took my car in right before closing, the men working didn’t have time that night to fix the issue but they kindly gave me a rental car for the night and had my car done the next afternoon! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Front brakes seized up late on a Friday. Had my car back and fixed in less that 24 hours. Great service.

The guys at this Midas location really earned my trust a few months ago when I took my Subaru there for a brake check. My brakes were squeaking, so I took my car in to another place that specializes in Subaru’s. I got a quote for $ 900 for new brakes and rotors, which I thought was outrageous, since they had just been replaced six months before. I went to this Midas location in Bothell for a second opinion — they told me that a rock was stuck in my brake pad, and that I didn’t need new brakes at all. I still had 40% life left on the brakes, and that when I was ready for new pads and rotors, they would charge me $ 300 instead of the $ 900 the other place quoted me. They are honest guys, and they will get my business from now on!

Customer service is the very best. I really liked working with the store manager. I feel as though he was thorough and honest when explaining things to me. He really helped me prioritize the most important service to get done right now and what could wait.

Don’t go here these guys are shady to say the least. I took my car, which is an early 90’s car, in for a oil change everything ran fine when I took it in, they finished the oil change and let me know my fan belt could use a change they were so nice. They quoted me a price that was way to much.

I had just spent $ 1200.00 on a new water pump and a tensioner a week and a half before with a mechanic I have used for 7 years, very dependable.
After leaving Midas Muffler in Bothell I drove about 12 miles to the mall I parked and noticed my car was steaming and overheated.
I looked under the hood and water was squirting out of a small break in the newer radiator, not the original, right on top where it is plastic and easily broken by some dishonest mechanic.
I called them right away and they said to bring it back in. I did go back and they let me know that they could put in a new radiator for me. I declined because the manager acted very shady and had a different attitude when I came back this second time. I don’t trust them.

We are new to the area and were very pleased with the service we received on two separate occasions. Staff was helpful and promptly addressed our auto issues with excellent customer service and courtesy. We will be returning for sure!

Not going back here again.
My husband took the car in because of a grinding noise coming from the rear brakes. Turns out they were shot, but rather than just replace them, they advised him to have them re-​level the same parts because, while more expensive, it could be done in one day without having to order new parts. We didn’t care about the time to order parts, but the guy stressed to my husband that it was better if we did it this way.
Two days later, the car is making grinding noises again, so we take it back. The verdict: The parts are too far gone and the brakes are starting to warp and now have to be replaced. Oh, but they won’t charge us to replace them, just for the replacement parts. I’d like to point out that we already paid for a more expensive process than necessary and now we’re going to have to pay for replacement parts anyways on top of it? I think not.
Predatory sales techniques. I repeat, never going here again.

You might think at first that the manager behind the desk (Robert Chatelain) is kinda rude. As it turned out, he is just being direct, do not want to lose your time with sugar coated stuff, and just want your car be fixed asap.
I was there because my Honda need a new ELD (electric load detector). I left to work and came the next day. Mike, the mechanic (has been working for 50 years) who diagnosed the car explained to me the whole thing. He knows what he’s talking about.
The ELD (bought from Honda dealer) cost 89.99 (I bought after market $ 30 and turned out to be the problem = defect).
The labor they charge $ 50.
If I go to other auto shop, I can be charged to more than $ 200.
I approve this message!

I stopped by here to see how much it’d be to get my oil changed. My car has a special filter, uses synthetic oil and, as I just found out from the manager here, requires a bit more oil than most. So, my oil changes can add up. The quote started at $ 59.95-$ 15 for a coupon I had. Great! Sign me up.
But when he was done with all the extra charges for the special oil filter and extra oil, the total went up to a little over $ 100!
I explained that was quite a bit more than I was used to paying (around $ 75). He asked me how much I was used to paying. I started– «Well, at the Midas [that I love dearly] in Austin…» He interrupted! «I’m not asking about Texas.» I told him to go ahead and cancel my appointment. He handed me his business card (he was the manager!) and, as self-​assured as possible, said, «I’ll be talking to you again soon.»
Please. If I had to pay $ 200 for an oil change at a place with respectful employees, I absolutely would before I stepped foot back into this place. But that didn’t even have to happen. I went to a very well-​respected garage in Kirkland and paid… wait for it…$ 66.17 after tax. For all of that special stuff and everything.
Hey Bothell Midas, take note of my review of the Midas that I gladly patronized for nearly 4 years and find yourself a new manager.

Don’t go here… just don’t. I did not have a good experience here, at all. For starters, the man getting my information to sign me in for my appointment asked me if I’d like synthetic or standard oil. When I replied that I wasn’t sure what we normally used, and that I would call my husband to check if he knew… the employee went on to tell me that «the only way I can probably explain it to you is to tell you it’s like cosmetics. There are nice cosmetics and cheap ones.» Um, really sir? You don’t say…
I understand the difference between price point and that it usually transfers to quality or performance of a product. But seriously, you think the only way I can understand it is if you equate it to cosmetics?! I’m no bra burning feminist but I found that to be pretty insulting.
After I told him standard oil would be fine, he just grabbed the clip board with my keys and info, and walked away. No, «ok thanks it’ll be ready in an hour»…nothing. He just walked to the back and started smoking a cigarette. After 5 minutes, and no one came back to the waiting area or went to drive my car in to be serviced, I asked if there was anything else he needed from me. He just said no, and went back to sitting on his butt smoking his cigarette. It was a full 10 minutes later that my car was driven back to be serviced… and there were 3 employees standing there doing nothing.
I left for a bit and then came back. My car was sitting in the work stall still, so I figured they were still working on it. The same employee was sitting at the computer in the lobby and hadn’t said a word to me. Finally he just calls out my total… doesn’t look at me, doesn’t address me by name, nothing. So I walked up to pay and asked if they had time to do the tire rotation I had asked for. I asked this because at a different Midas I was told they only did it with an oil change if they had time (even though it’s stated as part of the standard oil change). He just replied with, «yep…that seems to be pretty important to you» in a rude tone.
Anyway, I just thought they were unprofessional and rude. And to top it off, my car reeked of cigarette smoke when I got back in it. Hey thanks guys!
