If you are looking for any form of customer service or respect you won’t find it at this store. I purchased a laptop there over the weekend. I spent the last 4 days dealing with all kinds of weird craziness from it. Nothing like I’ve ever dealt with a new computer before. When I bought it the guy who rang me up said we have a 14 day return policy. Well, seeing as the laptop felt haunted, I thought I’d go in on day 5 of owning it and see what could be done. Happy to exchange or hear about what the issue was, etc. This is where CJ (apparently one of the managers) comes into play at Staples. He was cold from the moment he asked me what the problem was. Then he didn’t speak for 5+ minutes while he messed around with the computer, telling me it looked all fine to him. He then proceeded to tell me it was my fault it was acting that way. That he would not return it, or exchange it and that I’d need to pay $ 160 to have it restored to factory settings. I had come in with all intentions of working something out, but MY GOSH, after the cold no words treatment I was getting from him, I had no interest in making the situation work at all. I just wanted to return it and get out of there. After many more silent minutes later, he handed me my return receipt with out a single word to me! What the heck happened to Customer Service, kindness, respect, care for a customer and their experience, niceness, politeness. I won’t be shopping at Staples again. Plenty of other places for me to take my business. I don’t need to be treated this way when I’m spending a decent amount of money on a product and kindly asking for a resolution to a problem that clearly fits with in their return policy.

I wish there was a Zero star option. I know that no-​one cares about Unilocal reviews for an office supply store. This establishment has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Unfortunately I have to come here from time to time due to its proximity to my office. I have left this place enraged several times and I’m a nice easy going person.
If you know exactly what you need and right where it is in the store then you will be fine. Otherwise everyone in the whole place will avoid you as if you have the plague or something worse. Don’t even think about getting help from anyone unless you back them into a corner and throw a net over them.
Today all I wanted was to spend a few hundred dollars on a nice office chair. I had to get one today, and I wanted to spend money on something of quality and style. In other words they could have made 300 $ in about 2 minutes but that was obviously not part of their agenda today, (or ever really).
The girl at the counter called for someone to come help me, and after waiting for 10 more minutes I left.
Very disappointing.

Always disappointed with the selection. How about stocking less junk and more basics?

I don’t normally think of writing a review for office supply superstores, but my horrible experience compelled me to do so. I visited this store to buy moving/​shipping boxes. The boxes were on sale, «buy 5 for (insert discounted price here)». I picked up 5 boxes of three different sizes. Each size had its own price. I also picked up three packages of packing peanuts, which was on sale for $ 4.99 + Buy 2 get 1 free. I went to check out. The discounted prices did not appear on their register. I told the cashier that the prices were incorrect. The cashier, who turned out to be so incredibly rude, stood there and said «I don’t know». A co-​worker then asked her if she needed help, and then she told him the situation. He went and did a price check. He told her the boxes were «2.99 each if I bought five». I told her that each box had a different price. She said «I’m just going to make them all the same price». I told her, «no, let me go write down the prices for you». I actually went to take pictures of the price tags, and then brought it back to her. Even with the price tags photographed, she could not compute the correct total. I argued with her because she couldn’t just make up prices… I needed her to register the correct prices. I then ask her if she had registered the prices correctly. The cashier began sighing and acting as if she was really annoyed at me. I asked her if she needed to take a picture of the price tag for the packing peanuts. She said «yes». (At this point, I was getting really frustrated that I had spent 20 minutes waiting for this cashier to take some pride in her work to finish checking me out). I took the picture of the packing peanuts price tag, and then came back. She then said she couldn’t enter the price for some reason (she gave no reason). Her co-​worker then came to help her, and when he was in the midst of helping her, she stormed away. The co-​worker then stated that the «buy 2 get one free» deal had expired. I told him that it is displayed, and showed him the picture. He went to go get the price tag as I waited to speak to a manager. When I finally was check out, I spoke to the manager about how the prices should’ve been in the computer and it shouldn’t have taken me 30 minutes to check out, and also to point out the rudeness of the cashier. The manager was VERY RUDE, himself. I can see why the cashier felt it was okay to act rude towards me, b/​c the manager had no customer service etiquette, himself. He basically told me «sorry, there’s nothing I can do». He did try to offer me a discount, but he did it in a very rude manner. I told him that I would never shop at that location again.
Staples, you NEED to improve customer service etiquette at this location, starting with the manager.
They also need to ensure that prices are computed into the register, and that expired offers are not displayed on the floor.
ALSO, the cashier who first checked me out must be re-​trained.
One good note: The co-​worker who finished checking me out was very nice.

I frequent staples for business printing and copy services mainly. My trips there are generally non eventful and the staff are very friendly, helpful, etc… I will continue to shop here out of convenience, but I am quite disappointed with my last experience at the photo & copy center… lesson learned: make sure to ask for a quote. Don’t rely on the sales associate to inform you of prices if you don’t ask.
I needed a 500 page document scanned. I was told over the phone, no problem, just bring in a flash drive.
I dropped my document off and was called about 30 mins later that it was done. Awesome!
When I went to pick it up the first associate who took my order was not there. I spoke to the associate working and asked if there was a computer available for me to check my scanned PDF file. She told me I could check it after I paid… okaaaayyyyy…

What?
I was in utter shock. I was being charged $ 252 for what? For a PDF file??? No ink was used, no paper. What was I paying for?
I explained to the associate that unfortunately I had no idea it would cost that much and there was no way I could pay for that. She was obviously upset by this. I explained that I was not personally upset toward her, just in sticker shock and disappointed and confused that the first associate didn’t give me a quote. She told me she could discount it down to $ 90. I explained I was very grateful for the discount but there was still no way I was paying $ 90. I offered to have them delete the PDF file off of my flash drive but was told that wasn’t possible and I couldn’t return the scan.
At this point, my refusing to pay had upset the associate and she was now yelling at me. I told her to keep my flash drive and throw it away if she couldn’t delete the file off of it because I wasn’t paying for the scan.
So basically, I wasted a whole lot of my time and a $ 10 flash drive because I wasn’t smart enough to ask the first associate the cost… my bad for assuming that it would cost a reasonable ammount…

I have looked in many staples for a good standard where you get one day promise you and for years I have been disappointed but always kept trying new locations until I found this one that is totally makes the world of difference always on time very well calibrated printers I love them

Employees are always helpful and friendly. They have the lowest prices around.

I work in the business park and originally went here for the convenience. The technology products are overpriced (I always use Amazon), and the display materials are reasonable.
My real reason for writing the review is the print services. It is a great place to get something printed quick and cheaply (money, not quality). The apparent lead at the print center, Tricia is extremely friendly and helpful — and she learned my name by the 3^rd or 4^th project I brought to her. She helps me determine the best and most cost efficient ways to print my projects, and is the reason I will continue to go back for the foreseeable future.

Reiterating the 4 star — went in here again for printing, and my document had a couple errors, luckily i had the word doc on the flashdrive, and the print operator was able to make some edits 4 me and made it look super — everyone I walked passed greeted me and asked if they could help.
Lots of good xmas ideas here too on sale in bins right up front — I walked out with a lot more than intended.

While I continue to shop here out of convenience I have numerous issues. I love the regular copy center lady, but Autumn literally was barely talking to me and when I offered my information she accused me of being snappy by asking one thing? «would you like to know how many I need?» … What??? She proceeded to continue to insult I just recommended no jumping to conclusions and there was no issue, wow… I don’t know. Customer service … One good … Most very poor :(sad, I expect it’s poor management

Had a great experience here recently. I went in the day after a special on office chairs expired. The ad was still on the floor at the office chairs. The manager gladly gave me the price without any problem. Nice to work with an ethical company.

I love this place. Good service. Good selection. Good deals.

They have what we need, I’m often surprised. Staff is fine too.

I wrote one review of dissatisfaction with my shopping experience at the Bothell Staples store and it got thrown into the filtered section of Unilocal — likely due to Staples corporate after I had complained about their Rewards Card program. Then a reviewer Marcus spoke against my review claiming privacy issues as the reason to not have the staff at the store work with customers to check their rewards points. After my first review of the store I had then called Staples Office of the President to make my complaint and revealed to them my poor review of their store. They had said the stores, including Bothell, are supposed to have kiosks where customers can check how many reward points they have and decide if they want to use them for purchases they make that day. I was never shown that kiosk whenever I shopped in the Bothell or Redmond stores. The privacy issues that Marcus talks about as the excuse for not looking at customer’s rewards points isn’t true. Staples will ask customers for their phone numbers at the cashier if the customer does not have their card with them. Staples needs to focus on customer satisfaction and since I don’t think they do — I have moved to buying my supplies at other stores.

I went to Staples last night at 8PM to get some documents printed and then I needed to fax them. After waiting several minutes in the print department, the store manager came over and told me and the other people waiting that we would need to come back at 8:30PM when the employee working in this section would be back from lunch. They close at 9PM and the only person trained to run their print machines is on break from 8 – 8:30!!! I left and went to Fed Ex. The manager saw nothing wrong with this scenario.

i HATE this place. Everytime I call with a question, the motto seems to be: «How can I do the LEAST amount of work for this customer?»
NOBODY wants to help you with your office needs.
everyone here is hungover and hates their jobs.
or at least they act that way.
