When I have a job that needs to be done right, I take it to Steve. His restoration ability combined with incredible attention to detail makes him my first choice always. Sure it might take a little longer than a rush job at a big store but when you see the difference it’s well worth the extra day or two. Especially when you take into account how long you’ll have the art on your wall for! He’s also able to do amazing things that other framers won’t even try like glass frame-backs to show artist’s signatures or personal notes, intricate mat work and all sorts of other great tricks to add a special touch to your treasured items!

On January 3, 2014, I brought in a Japanese painted folding screen with flaked paint to be repaired. Steve said it would be about four months, because there were other jobs ahead of me, and we could look at the work then and maybe do more work on it. By May 14, I hadn’t heard from Steve, and called him. He said he will call «next Friday» when he had something to show. On July 11, after not hearing from Steve, I called and left a voicemail. On July 23, after not hearing from Steve, I called again. He said he had «been busy» and «I’ll call you in a week.» I thought about things overnight, and the next morning, July 24, 2014, I called to cancel the job, and went and retrieved my artwork. In his favor, Steve was always polite and nice.

It’s always been a pleasure working with Steve and Mary for just the right mat and frame for personal art as well as all the awards the organization I work for has received. Steve has provided a consistent style for framing those awards including a personal touch for each one that slightly sets them apart.
