A Spice of Life helped make our corporate holiday party a very special event. Our experience was superb… can’t say enough good things about Spice of Life’s service! Jake made the entire process a breeze and Nancy made sure our event ran seamlessly. The entire staff went way above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. They were ALL very friendly, professional, and fun! The food was delicious. Everyone at our party couldn’t have been any happier!

A Spice of Life did the food for my wedding and everyone loved it. Everyone complimented the food and told me how great it was. In fact, it was so good we didn’t even have any left overs!!!

Very disappointed by the lack of communication and the end result. Spice of life made our wedding seem like a joke. We spent months discussing details with one person and then pawned off to another gal who apparently didn’t care about the details of our special day. My husband and I were served cold food, clearing our guests dirty dishes during dinner, our one vegetarian guest was forgotten about and forced to eat side dishes from our buffet, my sister missed my pre-​wedding pictures because the staff apparently didn’t have time to help her set out our centerpieces 15 minutes before our ceremony started, we were told salad and bread baskets would be pre-​set on our guests tables and they were not. Money wasted.

We hired Spice of Life to cater our wedding rehearsal dinner BBQ party at a vacation rental mountain home up Sunshine Canyon. From the beginning, they were responsive, professional, and extremely accommodating to our budget and our needs. We had no trouble planning the event from out of state, and when it came time for the party we had complete and total confidence in their services. My husband and I were able to enjoy spending stress free time with our guests, while the Spice of Life staff handled everything from set up to clean up with ninja-​like efficiency. They served an abundance of delicious food to our 80 some odd hungry guests with flawless presentation and friendly smiles. Everyone raved about the food, especially the mac n’ cheese! Spice of Life is a world class operation already renowned for their quality of services, and it was an honor to have them help make our wedding weekend a dream come true. We highly recommend them, for any occasion! Thank you, Spice of Life!

I brought a photo production to Denver for a week and hired A Spice of Life to cater for us. Coming from Chicago my expectations are always high being such a «foodie town» — but they kept that bar high. Everything from the presentation to the taste was terrific. Highly recommend them to any production/​event!

Spice of Life is on point from first contact to the final minute of the event and even after. We hired the team for our backyard wedding in Boulder and could not have been happier. The top notch support before and during the event were everything you could hope for. The food was great and received many compliments from our guests. The SOL team even had to deal with a small bout of rain and they did so effortlessly. Thanks guys for making our big day amazing!

Spice of Life is catering our wedding at Snow Mountain Ranch, outside of Winter Park. They have been absolutely fabulous! We interviewed and tasted with several caterers, and Spice of Life was by leaps and bounds the best! The food is phenomenal and the service is out of this world. Amanda is our event specialist and she had been FANTASTIC to work with. She understands how important both the food and cost is to these foodies-​on-​a-​budget, and has worked with us tirelessly to get the menu perfect.
The food is delicious. We are having a prosciuitto-​wrapped figs and manchengo-​stuffed peppers as passed apps, along with a cheese plate. We are having food stations rather than a seated dinner, with two primary stations: mixed green salad with pears and champagne vinaigrette and gnocchi (both pomodoro and a delicious pesto) at one station and beef tenderloin sliders with watermelon-​mint-​feta salad, kale and fingerling potato salad on the other. For dessert we will have chocolate-​covered strawberries to accompany the cake, they are doing a mixture including white and dark chocolate, pistachio, and coconut. So tasty! As we spoke and tasted Amanda was able to suggest foods (like the strawberries) that we loved. We are trying to balance a couple food requests, including vegetarians and nut allergies, and she has been cognizant of those limitations and brought up ideas to keep everything clearly labelled. I also love that they have complimentary fruit-​infused water– we chose two yummy flavors!
The service at Spice of Life is also phenomenal. Amanda is quick to respond to all communications, and she is extremely organized. She met with us several times and accompanied us to a walk-​through at the venue (2 hours away!). The proposal is extensive and lays out everything, including breaking down linen, glass, and place setting rentals. It also shows us exactly how much we are getting of each dish, which I found is not the case with other caterers. I feel completely comfortable about the day knowing that Spice of Life is in charge of the food.
Finally, there are a lot of extras that I really appreciate. They compost all food waste and use compostable water cups. They box up all leftovers for no extra charge (again, something I found not all caterers do). They also pack the bride and groom a picnic basket to-​go, which is cute.
I will update this review in a few months, but this is the review from working with Spice of Life for almost a year now — they have taken so much stress off the wedding planning process!

I feel very confident, the service, food and presentation will be perfect for our high profile meetings, and it has been every time. Thank you!

A Spice of Life is consistently head and shoulders above its competition in northern Colorado

Our ceremony and reception were held here in mid-​August. The view of the Flatirons as the backdrop was gorgeous, and the ballroom and staff for the reception were great. The food was delicious and the level of service all night was excellent. Paige and Leanne were wonderful to work with, very attentive and accommodating, and made sure our special day went off without a hitch. Highly recommend!

our original contact left months before our wedding, but Dawn stepped in seamlessly and took over. She was an absolutely pleasure to work with. She responded the same day to calls/​emails, and was super understanding and helpful when we changed our menu 87 times.
And then… there was Becky. We met Becky at our second tasting, as our day of coordinator. I was almost in tears after first meeting her; everything about her presence, questions, and concerns made me feel so comforted and taken care of. She was there everystep of the way, our entire day. From helping with my dog at the reception, to feeding my hungry children, I never had to look for her or worry because there was Becky.
Oh, and the food? Sensation. We ran really late, and everything was delicious and devoured. Our service was perfection, and my whole family was so grateful to have Becky there.

We had an amazing wedding. we got in on a special and learned a few tricks in the business to receive additional discounts– which made our dream wedding a reality. the staff here is amazing. Holly helped us all along the way and answered all of my questions and was flexible, letting me pick and choose how I wanted things to work, let us stop by several times to try and figure out set up, etc. worked with us on a custom menu and selection. Zach set up the ceremony site and helped us with our final set up decisions and also with the flow of the ceremony and dinner reception. Holly thought of almost everything and managed to keep a dialogue going with me for several months during planning and constructing. It takes a lot more thought and consideration planning a wedding that I would have ever imagined but she helped make it easier.
Only cons were: there was a slight delay in response, but this is common I found out-​in the wedding industry. There was a slight misunderstanding and one ingredient that was pretty adamantly left out of the menu-​due to severe reaction-​was accidentally included during the wedding –yikes, but catastrophe was avoided as I caught it in time and removed it from the plate.
We had such a good time, we forgot to make ourselves a doggy bag to take with us and the food was SO good but we didnt have a good chance to eat, so I was bummed about that. The tastings we went to were amazing-​we loved everything and had a very difficult time choosing only a couple of appetizers and only one dish for dinner! But that’s a good problem to have.
We loved the Spice of Life and felt very lucky to have had our wedding here outdoors with the flatirons in the backdrop and a wonderful space with plenty of room for our guests and a built-​in dancefloor (as well as a back up rain plan) and free parking-​all in such a beautiful space.
Definitely recommend them.

The location is great with rooms that face the Flatirons. The rooms are also elegant and nice for entertaining large crowds. We most often go for Realtor seminars and events. The big drawback is that it is hot and stuffy every time we go! Someone needs to crack a window!!! Otherwise the food is fine and the service is good.

I don’t often write reviews, but Kari Jo and her team deserve as many accolades as I can muster. I hired A Spice of Life for our company holiday party, and from the get-​go they were incredibly easy to work with. From the first tasting, to our numerous questions and menu changes, Kari Jo didn’t even bat an eye at accommodating us. The day of the event, the team was the epitome of professionalism, promptness, and quality. I received nothing but compliments from my co-​workers about the food, and the presentation was beautiful! Erin was the day-​of event captain and she was just an absolutely pleasure! Thank you, A Spice of Life; I would not hesitate to hire you again or recommend you to anyone looking for a caterer.

Good food, accommodating staff, flexible, and attentive. Desserts with lunch were amazing! Only down side was less than fresh pretzels as afternoon snack.
They accommodated us with regard to rooms at the 11^th hour which was much appreciated it.

I have been to many events catered by Spice of Life and have been totally impressed with them every time. Not only is the food delicious but the service is top notch as well. The appetizers are outrageously good! All dishes are presented beautifully and the ingredients are fresh, local when possible, and top quality.
They are so diverse, from providing food for a multi-​day rafting trip to black-​tie events these folks impress. I will use Spice of Life again and again, check them out you wont be disappointed!

I couldn’t be happier with the service we received from A Spice of Life for our wedding reception. We worked mostly with Kari Jo and she was unbelievably professional, kind, outgoing, and helpful. The staff at our wedding were so nice and hardworking. We had some mishaps with other vendors, and the catering manager went above and beyond to work everything out and ensure we had a great and stress free time. The food was also phenomenal. It was funny how many times I heard «I can’t believe how good the food was! Wedding food is normally so bad, but that was incredible!». They also provided mac and cheese for the kids and a special vegan meal for our one vegan guest. This is truly an amazing business, don’t waste your time going anywhere else.

We choose Spice of Life to be our wedding caterer and we couldn’t have been more happy with them. My now-​husband was actually in charge of the catering, so he would have more to say on all of the details. Here’s my experience with them…
They blew the other caterers out of the water when it came to the tasting. The food was so delicious that we kept eating well after we were full. We were super lucky and had Dawn working our event. She was a total rock star. We felt like we had a dream team with her in charge of the catering, the rentals and the setup. She is a serious professional.
They worked hard to get our business and work within our budget for about 200 guests. They were flexible and had good advice at every step of the way. They knew our venue (The Boulder Theater) and had good relationships with all of our other vendors. The people who worked the event with excellent. I felt ill during the beginning of dinner and was scared that I might miss some of the reception. The waitress managing our table took it upon herself to get me bitters and soda which saved my belly. So sweet.
Anyway, if you are looking at caterers, you should definitely include Spice in your line-​up. I hope that they impress you, the way that they impressed us.

5 stars feels good because I am damn happy when I even consider 5 stars. Spice of Life was amazing… they were so flexible and accommodating after soooooo many caterers told us how things would be. They were the only ones that offered a walk through which was super important in the long run. They were willing to set up another caterers food they offered extra service items to help us out. They were affordable, they were super professional, they were friendly and this all before our actual party. The day of they were just on it. Our party had food prep on site and service and they were great about everything and ended up saving us some money at the end.
The best part, the food. it was better than we had hoped for and people were commending it throughout the night. We had paella and spanish meats and cheeses. They had to special order the meats but they made it happen for sure and with short notice! There are sooooo many caterers and so many pretentious dictating caterers that we were truly gifted with Spice of Life.

We were extremely pleased with all the services A Spice of Life provided us on our wedding day. There were many last minute adjustments and we are truly grateful for their professional service and flexibility with these changes. It was very hectic — with many children running around the complex, so we are very thankful that they were able to take such great care of our guests, the food and drinks, and us throughout the night.
Our guests raved about the food to us for days after and we were entirely pleased with all the food. A member of their staff was even so nice as to bring a tray of appetizers up onto the rocks while we were still taking photos! Again, we are so grateful for their staff, services and food. They truly made our day feel very special.
