Orthopedic and manual Physical Therapy. Alta PT & Pilates specializes in high quality PT with 45 minute sessions. Our practitioners include Forrest Walker PT, Jane Milliff PT, Lori Hayne PT, Mary McClure, Jonathan Oldham PT, Charlie Merrill PT and Mike Kohm PT.

Altas services include including Manual Therapy, Manipulation, Custom Orthotics, Custom Bike Fits, Movement Reeducation and Core Stabilization. Our therapists are trained in Pilates, Yoga, Trigger Point Dry Needling, Integrative Manual TherapyTM and BodyTalkTM so you have every tool available to you. ALTA offers so many treatment styles and combines offerings in innovative ways, you can expect to get the best results at our clinic.

The location is conveniently located off the Foothills Parkway and US 36 with ample parking, seven private treatment rooms, a full Pilates Studio, Yoga Studio, a locker room, and a large bright gym to inspire your recovery

History

Established in 1990.

Alta Physical Therapy and Pilates was started in Boulder, CO in 1990. Alta moved to it’s new location at 2955 Baseline Road in 2007. Alta is enjoying it’s 4700 square foot location and has a full pilates studio on-​site. Alta is also the home of Boulder Performance Lab.

Business Owner

Jane started Alta Physical Therapy and Pilates with the goal of offering high quality physical therapy for her clients. Jane’s physical therapy experience ranges from a masters degree to treating patients with classic orthopedic intervention. Jane has studied a wide variety of Physical Therapy systems including Body Talk, Integrative Manual Therapy and Cranial Sacral treatment.

Best physical therapy clinic in town!
Charlie and Mike are amazing therapists who have immensely helped heal my minor running injuries. They use both traditional and non-​traditional methods i.e. trigger point dry needling, which are incredibly effective.

I came to Alta after a bad sports injury. I was amazed by Mary’s ability to help reduce swelling in my joint, regain movement, and prescribe targeted exercises that really help. I’ve never had physical therapy before, so it’s hard to compare Alta to anyone, but I definitely feel like I’m in good hands. The Alta staff overall has been incredibly professional and organized. I highly recommend them!

I’ve been seeing Charlie Merrill for over a year and I feel that he has the best insight into my complete body picture of any PT I’ve seen over MANY years. I’ve had so many injuries and surgeries from being a Boulder over-​doer and I have basic body imbalances due to scoliosis and goodness knows what else. Charlie seems to grasp it all and uses a variety of techniques, manipulations, dry needling, electric whatever, exercises and even massage to try to keep me somewhat aligned and to lessen the aches and pains!
I first went to Alta PT about 29 years ago when I was new to Boulder and saw Forrest Walker, who was terrific helping with my back issues. Because of different doctor’s recommendations, I’ve seen a lot of PTs over the years. It is great to be back at Alta. The staff is all exceptionally friendly, courteous and helpful as well.

This is a review for Mike Kohm, who treated me at another facility, and is now affiliated with Alta. Mike is a fantastic PT. He treated my foot problems, both before and after foot surgery. He’s extremely knowledgeable, thorough and pro-​active.
