Bishop & Takemoto Dentistry

I am a certified dental wimp. Dr. Bishop and his staff have managed to keep me coming back for regular cleanings and ‘maintenance” for about 15 years. Anyone else out there who classifies herself as a dental wimp knows that this is testimonial enough!

Dr. Takemoto is the best dentist I’ve seen. She is very fun, quick witted, honest and open. She tells you like it is, with a smile and a joke. She is clearly very knowledgable and her staff seems to love her, which i think is a good indicator about a dentist. In the last two years of going to Bishop + Takemoto i have had several cleanings, a crown, and a handful of fillings, but after the initial work, i am on track with healthy teeth!
Before going to Dr. Takemoto i was going to a dentist’s office which i felt was always trying to up-​sell me on things, and i was relieved to find a welcoming office where the staff really seems to care about the patients.

I first stumbled into Bishop & Takemoto Dentistry in the fall of 2009 when I had a horrible pain and needed an emergency root canal. I arrived just before the office closed and Dr. Takemoto and her assistant stayed two hours late in order to treat me. Since then I’ve had a crown, a couple of cleanings, a couple of fillings, and been fitted for a night guard, all without pain or fuss. I don’t have dental insurance so I pay cash for everything and the prices are reasonable for dental work.
Dr. Takemoto is incredibly gentle, knowledgeable, and excellent, and she always seems to be in a good mood. That extends to the rest of her staff, who all know me by name and really seem to care how I’m doing. Getting an appointment is never a problem and they stay on time really well, while still giving each patient the time and attention s/​he needs. The environment is friendly and comfortable.
I recently moved to Denver, but I will make the drive back to Boulder for Dr. Takemoto. Once you find a good dentist, never give her up!
