Description

Specialties

We offer Ki Aikido & Ki Development (Japanese Yoga — Self Empowerment) Adult Classes (ages 13 and up) and Child-Parent Ki Aikido Classes for children (ages 6 – 12) and their parents.

The mission of Boulder Ki Aikido is to nurture one’s innate connection to the universe and develop one’s true potential in all aspects of life.

Ki Development is a form of dynamic meditation that focuses on developing mind-body coordination: a calm relaxed state that can be maintained in action and at rest. Applied to daily life, this practice can lead to improved interpersonal relationships.

Shin Shin Toitsu AIKIDO (aka Ki Aikido) is a traditional, non-competitive, Japanese martial art meaning «the way of harmony with universal energy (ki, prana, chi)» that explores mind-body unification principles through graceful, dynamic self-defense movements. Instead of responding with force, Ki Aikidoists respect the training partner’s energy, redirecting it into a pin or a roll, resulting in a positive experience for both participants.

Beginners welcome!
