Specialties

The Boulder Symphony is dedicated to enhancing the symphonic arts and culture for the benefit of the Colorado front range community.

The Symphony entertains, educates and nurtures music appreciation in youth, seniors, and other community members through collaborative live concerts of classical and modern symphonic performances that are affordable to all audience segments.

The Symphony also supports the creative development of artists by providing venues for musicians and composers to present new symphonic works.

Through live symphonic performances, chamber concerts, outreach and education the Boulder Symphony reaches thousands of music lovers throughout Boulder County and the greater Denver metro area each season.

The Boulder Symphony encompasses the inspiration – which music brings to our lives – by the fearless exploration of undiscovered possibilities.

History

Established in 1992.

Today, Boulder Symphony’s home base is the First Presbyterian Church – in the social heart of Boulder – at 15th and Canyon, one block from the world-renowned Pearl Street Pedestrian Mall. The Symphony’s inaugural concert season was the 2010 – 2011 season themed «Intrepid Explorers» reflecting its commitment to consistent innovation, the joy of discovery, and the propagation of classical music through its youth music education & outreach programs. In only its third season, Boulder Symphony has become a classical music staple of the regional community, sharing its passion for music though thrilling and critically-acclaimed performances, world premieres, and support of new symphonic music.
