Great pizza! The homemade sausage and green peppers is our favorite. Definitely a must try.

This place is amazing! Just had it for the first time and it’s taken the #1 slot for best pizza in my book. You know a place is good when someone wants to write a positive review!

Best slice in Boulder, hands down — I grew up in NJ and this is the only authentic NY-style pizza I’ve found.

I’m from the East Coast– so I’ve had real New York pizza. I can say with no doubt this is the closest to it that I have had in Colorado. Thin crust with huge slices. $ 3 a slice is not bad either. The chefs are all very nice and greet me each time I come in. It has a cute stool seating area and the environment is always home-y. I wasn’t sold when I first came here, but am so glad I came back! It’s now a weekly lunch spot for me.

Incredible pizza, best in Colorado by far! If your from the East Coast you’ll know as soon as you try it. Actual fresh ingredients, amazing sauce and crust, no artificial sweetener’s legitimate New York style pizza.

Update: even more in love with this place than when it first opened! Never anything but phenomenal service and the owner is one of the kindest people I’ve met. Was in with my friend one day and she didn’t have any money so he bought her a slice… Very kind hearted and honest man. Support this local business!

Ordered and paid for delivery, was told it would arrive 35 – 45 minutes later. It’s now nearly an hour and a half, and no pizza. I had to call them for an update, and they said itd be 5 more minutes(That was 25 minutes ago). They dont seem to respect the time they quote. Edit: The pizza ended up showing up an hour late, cold and hard. I called Brooklyn Pizza and they were very nice about it, and they even gave me a full refund. I’ve added a star for that. Brooklyn! Get a new delivery company, please!

This review is for their delivery service. Ordered a pizza at 6:15pm, told it would be 45 minutes to an hour. I got a call at 7:15pm told there was a problem with order and would be another 15 to 20 minutes. It is now 7:55pm still no pizza and no follow-up form Brooklyn. First and last time I’ll be ordering from Brooklyn Pizza. :-(

Pretty good east coast pizza. I ordered a pepperoni, extra cheese and really enjoyed it. The cheese is top notch and the sauce has a light, smooth taste and plays a nice backup role to the cheese and toppings. It reminds of pizza on the Jersey shore. The thing keeping this from a higher rating is that the crust isn’t *quite* there. It’s just a little too thick and chewy(which is mostly due to the high altitude baking). It’s probably really good re-heated or for all night party pizza.

This relatively new pizza place is right near our house and we love New York style pizza so we decided to give it a try. What we ended up with was not what we had hoped for. We got a very small«large» cheese pizza for $ 16.50. Wasn’t ready for pick up when they said, no biggie… They had been busy. But they hurried to make it and the end result was slightly soupy and undercooked with a blackened crispy bottom. Tried to heat it up at home with no luck. We called and were offered a prompt refund and an apology which added a star to the review…

My one gripe about this pizza — done! Lots of great sauce today, my second visit. My big, honkin’ spinach abd mushroom was slice one of the very best ever. Scrumpdillyicious!

As a NJ-native(and kind of a pizza snob), this place is legit! The owner is always there making the pies himself and chatting with the customers, which is awesome. But the pizza itself is what stands out. You can taste the high quality cheese and sauce they use and the crust is thin, but crisp enough that it doesnt fall apart. Im mostly a purist(straight-up cheese) when it comes to pizza, but Ive tried a few of the toppings too — the salami is top notch. The sausage is homemade and super tasty(but beware it has a unique flavor to it… I think its a lamb? So its not your typical sausage topping). Also — the canolis are homemade and freakin’ perfect. Get in here and support these guys and enjoy REALNY-STYLEPIZZA

I was able to sample a slice of Brooklyn Pizza’s cheese pizza when I was helping with the Ironman Triathlon. I know, pizza and triathlon don’t seem to go together, but I wasn’t a participant and was not in fear of puking it up afterwards! The slice was so crispy, cheesy, with the right amount of grease. The owner was super friendly and I look forward to eating a meal there soon!

Let me start by saying the staff was great. They let us taste a topping we were unfamiliar with and just had a nice attitude. But, I just didn’t dig their pizza that much. I mean, it was tasty and I get why people are raving about the crust but I don’t know, just seemed a bit bland overall. Maybe I’m just nostalgic about Jalino’s, or I just dont«get» NY style pizza… or both… but it just didn’t do too much for me.

This was a nice little surprise. I was a fan of Jalino’s pizza(which was in the same location), so when I drove past and saw it was a new pizza joint, I had to try it! Jalino’s didn’t deliver, so I never really ate there after high school. I looked Brooklyn up on Unilocal and checked out their website and it seemed like a safe bet to try out. Although I ordered something pretty basic(pepp and cheese), the crust is chewy and thin and delish. My only criticism would be that I wish there was a little more sauce on the crust… if that makes any sense… all the delectable cheese and sauce end at a point leaving a little too much crust for my liking. That, however, could be a personal preference. Sauce was hearty and robust and full of flavor… but the cheese… the CHEESE! The cheese is the crowned jewel of that slice. I do not know what kind of blend they use, but it is brilliant. It’s not like any other pizza cheese I have had. This place is well worth checking out more and I will be back.

Two stars is pushing it. This place gives Brooklyn a bad name. Let’s start by saying there were flys all over the pizza. Then let’s forgive me for still buying two slices. Ok, enough being nice. They tried to give me two slices that they had burned to a crisp. I complained and they tried again. This time one slice was actually cold on top. Mmm cold sausage. Then they packed our shitty slices up in a pile so that the cheese that was melted could stick all over the bottom of the other slices they had rammed in there. Never again. Ugh.

Dear Brooklyn Pizza, Thank you for bringing authentic New York style Pizza to Boulder! The toppings, crust and sauce are perfection. I think you should add a bit more cheese to the pizza that is sold by the slice but you will not lose my business over this. I hope you stay at this convenient, centrally located area and continue to grow the business so people in other regions of Colorado can experience real pizza! See ya soon, Dreena

I was excited to see a new pizza shop open up in Boulder, there are so many choices here now, yet I kept coming back to my old standby, Cosmo’s. We decided to give Brooklyn pizza a shot tonight, and it turned out pretty well. While it doesn’t have that large floppy slice reminiscent of NYC or Cosmo’s, the flavor of the crust is so tasty, and it has a good amount of chew. My only hope, they’ll start offering a thinner crust pizza using the same amount of dough. The sauce is nicely balanced, not too sweet and not acidic. The cheese was good, it was plentiful and had a good amount of greasy to be NY style. They seem to be in their opening stages now and hopefully they’ll get better and not fold like the last few places that have been in that spot.

Given the taste of my first slice, the enthusiasm of the owner and staff, the promised larger menu(they are doing homemade soups and salads too) and the nice cleanup of a tired space, I have got to support this place. Truly authentic cheese slice, nicely charred in the appropriate spots covered with plenty of cheese and mild light sauce. They have replaced the venerable pizza place that was located here for decades but closed about a year or two ago. They are hoping to build a business that will be more than a Boulder High lunch spot. I wish them well, they seem really nice. I should add that there is still very little seating or parking but you can walk from campus or the farmers market quite easily. Plus that was a tasty slice! I saved a few bites for my NJ native husband and he loved it.
