One star is for the few times out of a dozen that I got what I ordered in an acceptable amount of time. The last time I was there, the young managerial type was beyond aloof and had lost total control of the two older jackles in the back«cooking» while the snide drive-thru cashier kept up a constant supply of snarkiness. After 20 minutes of them playing Abott & Costello’s «Who’s On First» schtick, I had had enough by slamming my drink onto the counter while, yelling over to the two jackles, «Forget about it!» In my best Jersey performance, and walked out. I was the only customer in there, and yes, I had already paid. On the way out the front door, I urged two incoming customers to «enter at your own risk».

This Burger King has been in Gunbarrel for at least 20 years. I generally avoid it but every once in a while I get a hankering for salty fatty American fast food. They definitely survive by the lack of local competition. The food here is adequate, as in it probably barely meets the corporate Burger King requirements. Several times I’ve used the drive-in and gotten the wrong order or missing items. The staff turns over a lot, which is to be expected, but the training and attitude of the staff is also lacking based on the interactions I’ve had. For example today it took almost 6 minutes to get my breakfast meal of a sausage croissant with 2 small hash browns. Initially they gave me the wrong order and I gave it back to them. After that, I ended up with only 1 small hash brown in my bag and no receipt.

Went in with the 2 for one croissant coupon. Asked for biscuits since the coupon works for that too and always has in the past. She took the coupon, went in back, came to the counter and said we are out of biscuits. I assume instead of saying we don’t know what to do. Went to McDonalds. They are never out of biscuits. But I appreciated the laugh. Told everyone at work

Waited 15 minutes in the drive thru, the person ahead waited 10. If I wasn’t getting food a client specifically requested, I would have been out of there, I don’t eat«fast food» and this helped confirm why. Christine, the person working the drive through was not friendly or apologetic about the wait either.

The guy at the drive thru is a total creeper. He leans in your car and asks all kinds of personal questions while you’re waiting for your change. I go inside to avoid him now. But they’re closed for construction. Gunbarrel needs more options.

This restaurant is shoddily run. We had to go out to eat because our power was out. It took 3 trips back to the counter to get our order nearly right. My BBQ bacon Whopper had no BBQ sauce, but was messily smothered in mustard and sliced jalapeños, neither of which were supposed to be on it. My husband had to go back 3 times to get something that resembled the Texas double whopper he ordered. Add another trip because the large fries and small crinkle fries were delivered as two small regular fries. It is apparent that no one on duty gives a crap about getting the customer what they ordered. I feel sorry for those who may have picked up their meals in the drive-thru — who knows what they had when they got home and opened the bag. This is typical of many Burger Kings. It’s a surprise grab bag. I’d give this place negative stars if I could.

i am giving this place two stars. I was actually surprised to see this spot in Gunbarrel compared to the other local food spots. I have been a few times and only used the drive through. Every time it was basically just me in line and it has taken forever to get my food. No clue why. I had the chicken strips and they were hot but really terrible. The fries were hot and decent and its good to get a milkshake but really its just another burger king. Friendly staff but not really ‘fast’ food imo

I don’t expect much from a fast food joint, so basically — this is Burger King. However, one thing about this location compared to others is the service and quality of the product. It’s very hit or miss. Sometimes I’ve gone there and the food has been awful — sloppy, cold, over-cooked, etc. Other times, I’ve had picture-perfect food. So just be aware that your experience could most definitely be 50⁄50.

Went for breakfast drive thru. The food was good and our order was fresh and correct. The reason this BK stood out and got a 4 instead of 3 was the excellent customer service. I had asked for something that was no longer on the menu, my order taker kindly told me its wasn’t available anymore so I order the rest of my order and by the time i was done he had worked out a way to ring me up for the old item that I had originally wanted. It was nice to see that some fast food places still appreciate their customers enough to go above and beyond to give them what they want and for that I thank you.

I’ve gone through my share of ups and downs with this location, mostly because I work right across the street from it. At times the staff has acted like they’ve never seen a paying customer before and as of late they seem to have their act together. I am in there almost every day and it’s beginning to show. But because I am in there so often they seem to know that I always order a vanilla shake with my lunch and they will either have it ready right away or they tell me when the shake machine is broken. Pathetic I know. But hey it’s a cheaper alternative for lunch than other places that are close by. Though service can be slow during lunch, it’s best to wait until after 1 if you can to get quicker service and quicker service means hotter food. I really need to stay away from BK but not because they’re bad, but because I soon wont be able to get my ass in my car if I keep eating there. Oh but the shakes are soooo good! See ya at BK around 1pm!
