For more than 30 years, Boulder based Cronin Jewelers has been crafting custom jewelry to the Denver community and larger state of Colorado. From unique engagement rings to custom wedding bands, we’re able to customize and handcraft your jewelry to fit your unique needs. As one of the only JA Certified Master Jeweler in the United States, our jewelry store is able to provide vintage and antique rings and bands that are unlike anything else seen in the world. Whether it’s sapphire engagement rings you’re looking for or men’s wedding bands that are comfortable, yet personal, Cronin Jewelers gives each piece of jewelry the local artisan touch it deserves.

Established in 1979.

Bill Cronin, founder and owner of Cronin Jewelers is a Graduate Gemologist as well as a JA Certified Master Jeweler. He began his business years ago on the «Hill» near CU and then moved to the current location in the Ideal Shopping Center in north Boulder.

I stumbled upon Cronin Jewelers by chance while on a visit to the Ideal Market shopping center. I was struggling to decide what to choose for a wedding band — I had an heirloom band I wanted to use, but it wasn’t quite right. Laurel helped me look at several different new bands, but suggested the heirloom band could be updated into what I wanted. Her knowledge and expertise were so helpful, and the entire process was an absolute pleasure. I just got my band back, and it’s perfect. It means so much that I will have a band that carries a lot of family history, but is also personal to me. I really can’t say enough good things, but clearly I would recommend Cronin to anyone — and especially if you are looking for a specialist in updating heirloom pieces.

I cannot say enough good things about the Cronin Jewelers. Master jewelry Bill Cronin is an artist of the highest order and the staff is incredibly attentive and helpful (special shout-​out to Carrie, Laurel, and Brian). The entire experience of choosing our wedding bands — and then customizing the design for a truly personal and meaningful symbol of commitment — was absolutely wonderful. Excellent, excellent service and craftsmanship! My husband worked with Bill on designing my engagement ring 3 years ago. Recently we brought our rings to have them engraved, the staff at Cronin’s are so welcoming, warm and friendly. The sheer artistry and craftsmanship combined with excellent service is what brings us back to Cronin Jewelers for 25 years. I just picked up a custom-​made ring that Mr Cronin designed and executed to perfection. He kept me informed on every step of the process, worked within my budget, with the final result being an absolute delight to wear and admire. His repair service is also highly skilled and knowledgeable. Such service and expertise is a hard thing to find in this day and age, and I’m so appreciative this store has remained in Boulder this long. The staff are wonderful and the quaint shop is always a treat to visit.

I bought my wife a ring 10 years ago from Cronin. Recently her diamond cracked. I called the owner and asked him if he would replace the diamond since this stone is pretty durable. He said no and that I would have to pay to replace it. Unfortunately Cronin Jewelers do not guarantee their diamonds or work after 1 year. Buyer beware when purchasing anything from this store as it is not guaranteed for the long term. I wish I went elsewhere 10 years ago.

Wow, what can I say about Cronin? I was in the market for an engagement ring for my (now) fiancé, when I stumbled across Cronin. I work in Boulder, so I decided to check them out during lunch one day, and I was immediately impressed.
Carrie, the store manager carefully walked me through «the 4 c’s» by showing me examples, and making what would have otherwise been an overwhelming amount of information and choices easy for me to digest. Carrie and I went back and forth through email for weeks and weeks to nail down the perfect design before I eventually went back to the store to make sure we had all of the details covered. They were, and Carrie’s input was invaluable throughout the entire process.
The ring I got ended up being made out of house because of some intricate etchings that I had requested, but at no point did Carrie try to talk me into doing something in-​house. The customer’s vision, and input comes first, and if they can’t do the work in-​house, then they seem to work with many other talented jewelers that can do anything you need.
To top it all off Carrie worked within my budget, and was helpful in telling me where I could save money, and what diamonds were the best value based on not only the 4 c’s, but the dimensions of the stone itself. Some more expensive diamonds actually appeared smaller because of where the carat weight was being held.
The ring I received turned out beyond perfect, and I couldn’t be more happy with it (and from what I understand, neither could my new fiancé!). You can’t go wrong with Cronin — this is an impressive shop!

Cronin made my go-​ho-​horgeous engagement ring. We did the entire design process via email as I’m living long-​distance. I never had a doubt I was working with good people! From the first photos I saw on their website I knew their artwork was right up my alley: creative & unique but very down-​to-​earth. I never imagined my engagement ring would look anything like this, but it suits me perfectly.
The manager, Carrie, patiently talked to me for literally months via email, consulting between me and Bill, the master jeweler, on design. Once my questions were all out of the way they were able to have my ring done within 4 weeks, in time for a visit to Denver/​Boulder. And THEN they resized it within a day once I’d actually tried it on. No charge, of course. I couldn’t love them more for their customer service.
The ring is one of Bill Cronin’s signature Range Rings, on which he etches the silhouette of a mountain range. There are 30-​plus available. He did James Peak for me — the view you see at the Genesee overpass on I-​70. He set a moissanite in the middle of it which sparkles like a shooting star. It’s amazing and so meaningful to me.
