Excellent service! They will repair any flats for the life of the tire. Very nice people.

This is a five star recommendation for a few reasons: 1) simply make an appointment and miss the general waiting room angst of other service centers, 2) great customer service. On a recent tire rotation (free by the way), one of the wheel covers was misplaced. Without any negotiation, Dave offered to order and replace the cover at their expense, 3) nationwide coverage for added assurance on roadtrips, 4) They are next to Dunkin Donuts — a great benefit while waiting.

I came in today to get my snow tires mounted for winter. Didn’t take long at all and their prices were the best in town. Staff was friendly and attentive.

These guys are awesome. It’s really easy to book a time slot online or just swing by – they’re always happy to accommodate.
My parents have been going here as long as I can remember, and now that I’m on my own, I’ll continue to go there.
Tire repairs are easy and fast, and it’s really difficult to argue with their prices.
The waiting area is comfortable, clean, and always well air conditioned.

I know lots of folks that don’t like going to chain places, but when it comes tires, I prefer Discount Tire. Why? Precisely because they ARE all over the USA. With several cars in the family that travel around the country with kids in college, it really made sense to me to use them. My kids could go in and get the service they needed when and where they went to college and all along the drive to and from home.
When I wanted a special summer tire for my VW Passat for 17″ wheels, I called around to the local shops and got some shops saying they could get them in a week or two, and then quoted me a price that seemed high. I checked online and got pricing too, but that never includes installation. When you include shipping and installation, Discount Tire comes out ahead. So, I called Discount Tire in Boulder and they said they’d beat the price by $ XX.xx. They also said they could have them in two days. Two days later, I got the call and they were on by the end of the day.
This store is so clean, and the guys that work here are so wonderful. I can drive in and get free air checks any day, well except Sundays since they’re closed. I also know that they stand behind their warranties. When I had flat on a snow tire while in Santa Fe, NM a few years ago (this was on my old Subaru wagon), I was able to find a Discount Tire really close by, and got my snow tire replaced for almost free. I only had to pay $ 20 since it wasn’t new, but I had about 1000 miles on the tire. I was back on the road in an hour. The flat tire just wasn’t fixable, as it turned out.

David was my car tire advisor. He was professional, courteous, and brilliant. He evaluated options in tires I had picked and educated me on dangers of tire flaws, safety precautions, and picking the right tires for my particular type of car drive-​train. Professionals like David are a result of solid policies and training. I am glad to have had David as the advisor in a business known for lack of trust. David was thorough to the end. He recalculated the costs and refunded portion of the money I had paid at start for work planned but not needed.

In Boulder for a few weeks for vacation. We got a nail in the tire of our brand new Highlander. I went to the Toyota dealer and they wanted to charge me $ 250 for a new tire. I came by Discount Tire and they got me in right away and patched the tire for FREE!!! The waiting room is super clean and the staff is very friendly and super professional. Thanks guys! I will definitely be purchasing my next set of tires with Discount Tire!

I was initially a bit skeptical because of the name — kind of sounded like ‘cheap crap tire’ — but they definitely won me over.
The staff genuinely know their stuff about tires and don’t seem, for the most part, to over sell anything. I got great advice on some snow tires which have been absolutely fantastic.
The only issues I ever had was when I punctured one of my regular tires and the guy told me that I should buy a whole new set because the old ones were too worn down. The problem was that they only had about 5,000 miles on them and were actually fine.
A manager sorted everything out and they were quite nice and accommodating.
The other issue I’ve had is that even though I’ve made appointments if people come in before you they are served first. So it’s a bit pointless. I realized this only after letting a line of people walk in before me when the shop opened in the morning (since I had an appointment) only to find out that they all, none of whom had appointments, were serviced before me. Which meant I waited a pretty long time.
But over all they are good people who know what they are doing and they do a good job.

Not sure what to say here. I got 4 brand new snow tires at discount on my car last nov to swap out the 4 brand new tires that came on my brand new car. I just went back to get the snows off and was told that there were knife cuts in 2 of the tires. Thing is that I put the summer tires directly Into my garage after the snow tire purchase. There they sat until yesterday. We live in one of the nicest neighborhoods in boulder (As if there is a bad one). There is just no way that they could have been cut in my garage. I’m not pointing deliberate fingers but the last time the tires were looked at out of the bag was at discount. Just saying.
$ 400 later I have 2 new tires. To their credit — they didn’t charge me installations. Yay for me.

WAYYYY too pushy sales people!!! This place makes me sick… I cannot believe how bad they treat people here. They do not even listen to what the customer wants but try to push what is best for them.

They made a mistake and caused one of my tires to be ruined, but they replaced it and were very kind and friendly in the process. I really appreciate their being an honest business and doing right by their customers.

I always receive exceptional service, no matter how busy they are (which they always are) they always seem to find a way to fit you in.
I stopped in with a flat, they fixed both holes (nail and screw) and had me on my way within the hour at NO CHARGE because I have been as loyal to them as they have been to me over the years.
I have one strange «complaint» (since this is Unilocal lol), they play Christian music, which I do not necessarily have an issue with considering Im Christian, but I can imagine that it would upset some others whom may not share in the Lord Jesus’s ever loving grace.
Besides that, they offer free tire checks for air which I take advantage of whenever the seasons change and they are always friendly.

For years I have seen Boulder locals pack this place and I wondered what was up with that. Today as a first time customer driven both by price and a need it done right now jones I found out.
After speaking to a very well spoken and informative Levi on the phone we arrived 30 minutes later and were greeted as we exited the truck by Levi and Brandon, a new hire. Levi explained he was training Brandon and service was great and rolled fast from there on. He made our price and inclusions of road hazard on the tires happen within our budget and informed us of an additional rebate if we used their card to purchase. All went smoothly and the place is well kept and sparkly clean inside (xcept for that soda I spilled on the floor), so sorry guys.
Tires went on and we were out of there in 30 minutes. A++++
PS My savings here were over $ 150 and you CAN take that to the bank!

Excellent service. I came in, purchased studded snow tires, had them installed, balanced, and paid, in 45 minutes. Charlie was super helpful, remembered me by name when I walked in after pricing out tires over the phone and personally took very good care of me. My family has been purchasing tires from discount tires for years and this location was the quickest and best customer services I’ve experienced of all TE locations I’ve visited. The seating area was also very clean and spacious. My only suggestion would be for them to offer coffee or tea for their customers while they wait. Just a suggestion though, not a complaint.

I came here after a recent snow storm to get new tires. I was slippin’ and slidin’ and waited too long; my bad! I knew there would be a wait. I tried to call ahead and got nothing but the machine recording over and over, so I figured I might as well just go in and prepare to wait. I went in about 9:30 in the morning and had 3 people in line ahead of me. The man who waited on me was pleasant and professional. He gave me options for new tires and I chose the top one. It cost me more, but I was getting a mail-​in (or on-​line) rebate plus a better quality tire x 4. Since I drive children on occasion, I wanted the best option for safety. I was impressed with the courtesy and camaraderie I saw exhibited by the staff both in the front and the back, after what must have been at least 3 days of slammin’ business due to the snow. My husband picked me up and gave me his car so I could get some errands done, and the store called me when my car was ready — close to the estimated time they gave me. I initially considered going to a different tire store that wasn’t as busy, but am very happy I stayed with Discount Tire. My husband and I have both purchased tires here in the past and this is where we are going to continue to do business. I like the local, friendly aspect and the fact that I can depend on them to take good care of me. My car drives like a dream with the new tires. (It would be great if they could get the phone-​thing figured out when they are busy, though.)

There’s a very good reason people line up out the door to get their tires here: Professionalism, from the front of the house to the back of the house.
Been coming here for years and I am never disappointed — even with new/​different personnel up front (who, I think, move to the front after getting a ton of experience out back). I have a truck, a car, and a jeep, and they all get their tires here.
So I walked in yesterday to a very busy place with a list of tires I had selected online to try to save time and they very quickly set me up with excellent tires at almost twice the price that i was planning on, but I am *very thankful* for the great advice to prevent me from regretting my original choices, the accurate out-​the-​door time (4 hours) and then accommodating my mistakes.
I knew it might be a long wait (heck, I was expecting them to tell me that they couldn’t even fit me in) so I brought a good book to read. As I sat there, I watched them handle *dozens* of customers efficiently, professionally, and politely. It’s refreshing to watch these guys work. They keep the place very clean, too.
I especially gotta recognize the guys in the back, too. From all the hollering and funny screaming from the guys, you can tell they are working hard, they enjoy their work, and they are very good at what they do — and they are *fast*.
From the time they took my Jeep to the time it was ready was about 30.40 minutes, so that explains how they can handle 200 vehicles a day and why they have so many repeat and loyal customers.
Do yourself a favor and listen to their recommendations. They are very knowledgeable and have seen what works well and what doesn’t.
The optional tire replacement fee is automatically added in the final cost, but I recommend it if only for the peace of mind it brings.

Had a great experience with DT Boulder today. They were very busy, the guy said they are doing over 200 cars a day. Somehow they fit me in. I had a guy named Kyle. Very professional and courteous. Took 3 hours on a busy day. Thank you Discount tire.

I went here because I was desperate. But when desperate, one doesn’t always make good or the right decisions. I wish I wasn’t so desperate this winter for snow tires. Drove my kid to a doctors appointment to North Boulder from So. Boulder and almost slipped off the road a few times. We fishtailed it all the way to the appointment. I promised myself that after the doctors we’d get new snow tires and make it home alive.
I called around and chose these guys based on the fact that they had availability and tires that would fit my car. Not a good idea. This where clearly, I needed to fishtail home and wait for the right place. I asked about an appointment and they said there was no need. So we went and waited and waited and waited. The place was mobbed with other panicked people. I asked why people who came in after me were leaving with their cars, and they said «those people had appointments». But of course, they didn’t tell me to make one when I asked. They also told me to exchange our tires out it would cost $ 10 for the whole thing as long as we purchased tires from the shop. It would have been $ 5 had it not been for our pressurized tires.
Fast forward to spring. Time to get the tires changed out. I call and the guy tells me it’s $ 10/​per tire. I tell him that’s not what I was told and of course he has no response. I also ask about appointments and he says just come in. I press him about appointments and finally he gives in however, they’re all booked for today. Just walk in but we’re all booked? UGH! $ 40 per tire is pretty common but to tell us false information upfront to get a sale is dirty and low. I will not be going back and giving my tire money elsewhere. I hate business like this one!

We chose Discount Tires for new tires for our Boulder Jeep because of the excellent service we received at Discount Tires in Arizona. We were not disappointed. Within a couple of hours we had new tires, with explanations for the sizes needed, quality work, the staff and supervisor were extraordinarily accommodating and did the job without a hitch and in a short period of time despite the fact that we came in without a reservation. It will be our go to tire store in Boulder and will recommend it to all of our friends.

In Boulder there are a handful of service desk fellas that are reasonable, not pushy, not manipulative — BUT for the most part they seem to be trained to go as fast as possible and sell you the most expensive tire rather than the best tire for you.
I have been with Discount/America’s Tire for many years in Redwood City, California, where a similar problem would occasionally rear its ugly head — service desk guys were too speedy and would not listen to my questions and concerns, tires would not have correct pressure, valve caps missing, not rotated properly. I stayed with them because they were good about discounting tires that did not meet the warranty — I left Boulder’s Discount Tire because they would blame my driving, my car, dirt roads, you name it, rather than discount new tires based on the warranty. Funny — driving styles/​vehicles didn’t change, just the shop.

I do not recommend this place at all.
The staff was manipulative, unhelpful, and vague. My associate informed me I needed to get brand-​new tires and failed to help me figure out which ones would be best/​most cost-​effective. He kept pushing me on a warranty and on getting more expensive tires.
I ended up paying much more than I could afford and then he said I needed an additional tire realignment they couldn’t do and that I should get it done somewhere else that week. When I took my car to a repair shop, they said the alignment problems were very very minor, so essentially I lost another $ 70. I have no idea why he did that. All in all, there are way more professional and transparent repair shops in Boulder.
You’ll definitely be able to find a better place.
