I didn’t even get my nails done because how uncomfortable I was. Not one smile, not one greeting. It was like she hated me. No thanks… Plenty of other fish in the sea…

This is probably the worst mani-pedi I have ever gotten. The pedi was rushed and later I saw that there was nail polish on the skin of my toes that was never cleaned off. The mani was even worse — rushed again, my fingernails were uneven with some lopsided and some longer than others. The woman actually cut my skin and hurt me when clipping my cuticles. She was grumpy and couldn’t speak English so I could not communicate my displeasure. Now I have to fix the mess at home. I will not return to this business. Later I decided to send the business a complaint. They offered to fix the problem, which they did the next day with much better results. I requested a different technician, and it all worked out fine, so I will increase my review to 3 stars instead of the original 1. Take your chances. It depends on the technician.

Pedicure was awesome and very well done, but then I experienced the oddest thing ever — she did my manicure in the massage chair! It was not good at all. I don’t want nail polish and chemicals getting on my clothes. I have no idea why they kept me in the chair. I’m 8 months pregnant so was that it? Just weird. The manicure was poorly done(no surprise when I’m in a chair). It was sloppy and smudgy and I could have done way better myself. Not to mention my two cuticles which bled. I tipped way too much too — but I didn’t know she was going to keep me in the chair like that. I should have said something but didn’t. I won’t ever go back.

Was really satisfied with my acrylic fill and repair of two nails. I was going to Boulder nails for about a year and was disappointed the last few times and decided to try somewhere new. The lady at encore was very quick but also did my nails very well. I have an oval shape which I think is a more difficult for some. My nails are all smooth and the same length and shape! I was very happy with my visit. Ask for Eva

The staff is friendly, and the facility is clean. Great, affordable mani/pedi! I’ve tried contempo and star nails, encore is my favorite! Even give gifts at the holidays.

The staff is very nice and super friendly but the work just Isn’t consistent. All my nails are different lengths and shapes. If they did a better job I would go back but it’s just not worth the money for a mediocre job

I will start by saying I am not a manicure aficionado. I get maybe 3 – 4 manicures a year. I’ve only gone to one other salon in the Boulder area but I find Encore to be better. The first time I went to Encore was with my sister who was getting her first manicure ever. I did a standard manicure with regular OPI color. Both of our manicures turned out great. My sister went with a gel manicure. I like that they work fast but the work is still perfect. I was super impressed with how long my standard polish stayed on and looked great. I would say it looked relatively flawless for almost 2 weeks before I decided it was time to remove it. My sister’s gel manicure was similar. I have never had regular polish last so long. The gel manicure I had at the other salon barely made it two weeks. I just recently had a french tip acrylic tip manicure and am loving it! Again the process was efficient and yielded great results. I will definitely continue to go back to Encore for any manicures. I also think the prices are very fair and the space is clean. Definite pluses in my book!

After reading the mixed reviews I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt and give it a shot. I had a special event and wanted to get a no-chip/shellac mani. The staff was friendly and got me in right away. However, I ended up going back the next day as both thumbs had chipped. They ended up fixing both for me, however, two days later Ive have another one chip as well. I’ve had enough no-chip manis to know that this isn’t right. I appreciate their friendly service but my next mani will be elsewhere.

I discovered Encore about a year ago after trying every Nail Salon in town. The family at Encore treats *me* like family! Debbie, John, Lynn. they are all awesome, friendly, professional! As I walk in the door, in unison, they call out my name. It feels awesome: O) They are so careful with my cuticles, and my manicure lasts forever. I always get a French, but they know that I like to experiment. So, around The Holidays I’ll get sparkly red instead of white, pink in the Spring. And, the massage chairs after a long day for their amazing pedicures? Don’t get me started. I’ve had pedis for years, but they do it right! Did I mention the ice-cold bottled water they hand you when you walk in the door? Or, the free wi-fi? And, the«Frequent Flyer Card» $ 5.00 off after 10 visits. YesYesYes!

I just moved to the Boulder area and I was looking for a good place to consistently go to. I get acrylics, sometimes French tips and sometimes full color. This place was very overpriced, has no good powder colors, and my nails broke within a week and are already falling off. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

DONOTGOTOTHISNAILSALONIFYOUNEEDTOBEINANDOUTWITHIN A REASONALTIMEPERIOD. I made a reservation for myself and 4 other friends here at 5:30 on a Thursday. We had a commitment at 7, and the lady on the phone had assured me that we would be finished by then. When we got to the nail salon and checked in, they looked at me in shock when I said that there were 5 of us… After we had already confirmed the reservation earlier that day. We waited for about 15 minutes until they took one of my friends back, and proceeded to take an hour to do a simple manicure while the rest of us sat and waited. The lady who was doing her nails would stop and talk to any person who walked by, disregarding the fact that we had reminded her again about our time limit. In the end, only one of us was able to get her nails done. I was very disappointed in the service and would never come back to this nail salon.

Got regular pedicure… it was so rushed. It literally took them 10 minutes to do the whole thing. I could have done it a lot better myself.

I was in the area and decided to stop here to get a deluxe pedicure for $ 40.00. My toe nails turned out great and the employees were really friendly. I’d definitely come here again.

I absolutely love this place. Always available, conveniently located, modestly priced, this place is perfect. I take issue with the people who say that this is not the most luxurious or indulgent nail salon. You can’t expect a hot stone massage, scalp scratching, whatever and still expect to pay $ 28 for a gel. Make the trade off, if you want a spa like atmosphere, then patronize ten 20 or somewhere else. If you’re looking for a no frills, efficient, well done gel mani in a cleanly and friendly salon, Encore Nails is the spot for you. Wide variety of gel choices, super friendly nail technicians, in and out in about 45 minutes. I’m so happy to finally find a nail salon in Boulder that doesn’t charge up the ass for unnecessary and tacked on amenities. Will be back soon to get my toes on fleek for sandal season.

As a budget-priced, yet super clean, efficient and friendly nail salon, this place gets 5 stars! It’s not the St Julian Spa, but nor is it priced like a top tier spa. What’ll it cost you? $ 40 for a mani + pedi! Or, opt for a Deluxe Pedi with massage, hot rocks, paraffin wax… for the money you get a fantastic value — thus why it give it 5 stars for its class! What do I like the most? CLEAN salon, super friendly staff from Vietnam, with tons of help to help with those peak times. I saw them cleaning out the basins and sterilizing tools as I was leaving… which gives you that warm fuzzy when you think about the volume of feet and toes in those basins. Ewwww. What else is noteworthy? OPI nail polish, good quality gels, tons of decorative art… and prices posted openly for you to review. The massage chairs are aggressive(a good thing) and comfy. I’ll be back!

I work on my feet every day, and getting a pedicure is my moment of zen. Encore gets the job done. It’s the only place I now go in Boulder, even though I have tried lots of places. It’s clean, comfortable, and the staff is genuinely nice. Kim is a sweetheart and really good at what she does. I get a pedicure and a gel manicure about 2 times a month. Love you guys!

i was a little hesitant to visit ANY of the nail spas in Boulder because of the crazy, mixed reviews. i settled on Encore Nails because it was close and had a few more reviews. i went in for a mani/pedi on a Sunday. there were just a couple of people already there and i was seated immediately. the chairs were comfortable, in good shape, and appeared to be clean. Debbie was the one who worked on me me. she was very nice and we had fun chatting throughout my visit. i thought that the price was very reasonable and the work was very good. i would definitely come back again and would recommend it to others. the employees have varying degrees of English skills — if that bothers you then perhaps you should try another place.

I have been going here regularly for gel manicures and the women here do an excellent job! My manicure usually lasts for 3 weeks, and my nails hardly ever break anymore. The women here are friendly, the place is clean, spacious, and relaxing. I almost never have to wait for a manicure. My girlfriends and I booked a 5-person appointment for gel manicures on a Wednesday night at 6:30 and they really took care of us. We were each given a 10% discount for booking a larger party. They did a great job and my friends were really happy with the colors and the quality of our manicures. The prices are very reasonable.
