I love interacting with my clients, and believe that a great photographer should not only have the ability to capture fleeting candid moments, but should be able to create them as well. It’s all about improvising on the moment, and knowing how to control the light. I love it when my clients bring props, and when personal elements come into play in a photo. The end result are photos that are fun, fresh and truly unique.

Its all about the unguarded moments when people let themselves shine with reckless abandon. A great photo stops you in your tracks and holds onto you.

James is outstanding. He did our engagement photos and shot our rehearsal and wedding dinner. He is professional, friendly, very creative, and put in effort well beyond our expectations. When the sun did not show up for our engagement shoot, he asked if we could also meet the next day– no fee and the photos were beautiful. He has a great eye for cool shots. I don’t know how to explain it, but he takes advantage of reflections, unusual angles and lighting to capture dramatic and touching moments in ways I didn’t know were possible. We love our wedding photos!

In short, James is a photographic wizard! My wife and I couldn’t be more pleased with our wedding and engagement shots that he took. I was initially drawn to James’s work because he seemed to add a lot of creative flair in addition to capturing the «standard wedding shots» really tastefully. He hit the mark on both counts. In addition to the stellar quality of James’s photos, he was awesome to work with. On top of the expected chaos of wedding planning, he worked with us to accommodate for rainstorms, tornadoes and lightning to get all the shots we wanted and then some… On the day of the wedding, it was really easy to work with James. He kept a ninja-​like low profile and he met our requests for certain shots with enthusiasm. Since that day, we’ve gotten so many compliments on our photos, and all are well-​deserved! I wanted to hire the best pet photographer in Colorado, and James not only surpassed my expectations, but introduced me to another level of photography of the highest quality. James brought his extensive knowledge and talents throughout the entire photo shoot. He took great care in making sure that every single shot was beautiful and deliberate. James paid careful attention to the details which made the entire experience stand out in very unique ways. His expertise was his guide, while his gifted eye remained his conscience. Very professional, on top of giving you a personalized service which seems to be rare in San Diego with all these cookie cutter packages that you find online. Not to mention he was cheaper for both photo shoots then just two hours of wedding day only with the other services that we found.

When choosing a photographer you have so many choices to choose from. It seems like everyone knows someone that has a great camera who can capture sharp images. However, it’s very rare to find someone with an artistically creative eye for detail wrapped up in such a warm, relaxed, caring person who somehow gets the best, most amazing shots. We loved his photos so much that we convinced my brother-​in-​law to hire him for their wedding. I know you’re torn between making a decision right now & I can assure you that James is your man! His prices are great too!
