Though the dentist has «no bedside manner» his technical work is good. His front office staff and their appointment handling needs a dust up, examination and cleaning. On three separate occasions the receptionist and hygienist decided to make a change in hygienists without informing me of this change. On one occasion the hygienist was off on vacation. I asked that for future appointments they were to note that I only wanted to see the hygienist I had made the appointment with. This same uninformed change happened twice more, despite my patient request. On the third time, the receptionist called to move the appointment up. I said I couldn’t. I showed up. They wanted to switch the hygienist. I said no you should have noted in my chart my request. They denied I had made a request, and then made a shallow apology. Frustrated, I rescheduled and left. This scheduling/​change, bait and switch attitude was intolerable. Later in the day, I decided to change dental providers and never use Kevin D. Sessa’s staff or the dentist again. Obviously he either does what his staff says, or has no regard for a patient’s wishes. After I emailed notice of the dismissal of his staff’s and his services, he acknowledged that he did not want me to come either. The «divorce» was finalized. I had been a patient of the dentist for over 30 years. The arrogance of he and his staff ruined an otherwise OK patient/​professional relationship.

My family has been going to Kevin for over 16 years since moving to Colorado. Their entire staff is great, very family oriented. I always feel I’m getting the best care possible. The office is very modern and clean. Kevin has a very conservative approach to things, I don’t feel like I’m getting ripped off for unnecessary procedures! If you are looking for a fantastic dentist in the Boulder area, look no further! I highly recommend him!

I have been going to Dr. Sessa since I can remember! He has pulled teeth, helped with braces, sealed back teeth and more! Liz is the best hygenist– I moved away and recently went back after 7 years and it was like I just saw them 6 months ago! Great staff– friendly, caring and helpful!

Dr Sessa performed work on me 20 years ago when he started out. He did things ie root canals that were not necessary and when confronted he destroyed the x-​rays. Yes, this was long ago but a criminal once is a criminal forever. He also had claims from another patient a few years after mine. His wife Sue was in on it too. Maybe he has changed but I would never trust a criminal with a second chance.

I have been going to Dr. Sessa’s office for at least 10 years, even after I stopped working in Boulder. I tried to switch to another dentist closer to my new home, but switched back even though I live far away. He and his staff are the best, the office environment is excellent, and the equipment is always state-​of-​the-​art, in fact, they had a remodel including new equipment last year. He is conservative in his treatment with a wait and see approach if it isn’t an emergency. Liz, my hygenist, is thorough but gentle, not a tooth nazi like the hygenists at the dentist I tried to switch to. If you want a private-​practice dentist in the Boulder area, I can’t imagine you could do better.

Professional, courteous, concerned, real, considerate and did I mention professional? I first went to Dr. Sessa’s office in 2004. I see happy, committed and professional hygienists while I am there, three times a year (or every 4 months). Employee turnover appears almost non-​existent, except that my former hygienist, Tracy, has now left to go run an office somewhere in the green energy, solar, etc field with her new MBA. I like Dr. Sessa’s office, they tell it straight and how it is. I don’t know if it is because Dr. Sessa grew up in New York because New Yorkers tell it how it is, but, his character and his honesty speak volumes to me. As for my dentist, I’ll never go anywhere else.
