Specialties

I have been in the beauty industry for 10 years and love everything about it! I specialize in color correction, hair extensions (fusion, beaded, tape-​in), and makeup. I also do everything in between, from blended Victoria’s Secret style highlights, balayage, to the rich all over colors, and the icy platinum blonde. I enjoy working on long and short hair, both can be fun and unique!

History

Established in 2015.

After working at different salons over the last 10 years in Boulder, I was ready to get out of the large salon scene and go into business for myself. I teamed up with two of my best friends, and n the beginning of 2015 we opened Prim & Pearl Hair Studio. It has a very intimate quality, and we love everything about it.

I have been in the hair industry for 10 years and it is my life! I love being able to help people find a new look for themselves or try something new. I specialize in color corrections, hair extensions and bridal makeup. When I’m not in the salon, you can typically find me in the gym or at home cuddling with my husband and our two pugs.

Krystal is awesome! I am super picky about who does my hair and from the first time Krystal was recommended to me, I knew she was great. She does great work with color and cuts. I’ve tried just about every color since I’ve been seeing Krystal and she always knows exactly the right shade and tone to make it look fantastic. I just moved to Fort Collins, but I will make the drive to Boulder any day to see Krystal for my hair. Professional and talented, you won’t be disappointed making an appointment with Krystal! (I wish there was an 6th star!)

Krystal has been my stylist for years and I highly recommend her — she is quick to understand what I want, and she has a real talent for turning it into the right style for me. I got my hair cut about a week ago, and I’m still receiving rave reviews from friends and coworkers. Her «chair side manner» is also great — she is professional and positive, and she’s good at reading cues as to whether or not I want to chat or just relax. I commute between California and Colorado, and I always come back to Krystal for cut and color!

Krystal really is «as good as it gets!» I can always trust Krystal to take my multifaceted hair vision and make it a reality. She’s expertly executed just about every possible look for me; platinum pixie cut, long tape-​in extensions, mermaid shade microlink extensions, Marilyn Monroe-​inspired finger waves, and then the near return to my natural color.
Not only is Krystal’s skill set and talent topnotch, her personality makes it a joy to come to Prim & Pearl. She’s smart, funny and compassionate. I always look forward to our time to catch-​up over foils and a trim.
I highly recommend Krystal for all of your hair needs (and wants)!

Krystal is an absolute gem! She is super versatile, passionate, and truly talented! There is no one else I would trust with my hair.
I had been thinking about getting highlights for years but was too afraid to make the change until I saw Krystal’s work and we talked over what I wanted. She is a fabulous listener and understood exactly what look I was going for. I’ve been seeing her for highlights and haircuts for over 4 years and still leave as impressed and in love with my hair as ever!
Krystal is so current, adaptable, and detail oriented, I always feel that my hair goes perfect with my skin tone with little adjustments during the different seasons. Also, when I moved into a more serious job, she was able to keep my hair fun and light but still professional.
Krystal holds herself to a high standard, her service and work ethic is top notch. She is truly passionate about what she does and is excellent at it. I would recommend her to anyone!
