History

Established in 2003.

Memories to Digital was founded as a home-​based business in 2003 in Longmont, CO. We opened our first retail store in Superior, CO in 2007, and added a second store in Lone Tree, CO in 2008. In 2010, we moved our Superior store to Boulder. We look forward to continuing to serve the Denver area for years to come.

Gwen Scherer — food marketer gone techie — joined Eric in bringing Memories to Digital to retail locations in 2005 and fell in love with the business of helping people rediscover their memories — now in a digital format. «My Dad always said the photograph was one of the most important inventions of his lifetime. The memories we preserve from old photographs, slides, videos, film and audio recordings are a source of important historical, social and personal documentation. It’s very rewarding to bring them to life again, and play a role in passing them on to the next generation.»

They do what they say they’ll do. They’re professional but friendly. They know they are handling your personal memories and somehow it almost seems like they are a friend doing you a favor rather than a business performing a service. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that we had such a service available in Boulder. I thought I’d have to go to Denver to get this done.

I had a very good experience working with Gwen and her team. All of my prints were uploaded via Dropbox which worked great apart from some confusion I created on my end. Gwen worked with me to straighten everything out, ending up with a wonderful DVD created for my 30th anniversary present for my wife. Thanks Gwen!

We had a very good experience at this business, with a very big project. I had to get about 9000 pictures copied onto discs for a business. Then I decided to get all of our discs of home videos copied as well. It was a seamless process and very thorough and reasonably priced. This was a very big and complicated job and I am so grateful that Memories to Digital could get it done so professionally. They were also in touch with me at all times regarding price and timeline. I would recommend them for any project that you might need to have done.

Loved this place! Gwen and Eric, the owners, are just great. They were so friendly and really helped me make my project personal to me. I had videos I hadn’t seen in years since we got rid of our VCR and it’s so nice to be able to sit down and watch them again with my family. Would recommend them in a heartbeat!

I would not use this place again. My order was to turn one wedding VHS tape to DVD. They let me know that it would cost $ 34.95. I received a phone call that my order was ready for pick-​up. Only when I arrived to pick up my order did they tell me it did not fit on one DVD and they had to put it on two which doubled the cost of my order. At that point there was no alternative given to me for the order and I had to pay $ 69.90. Customer service was terrible. I do not think they should have assumed I would pay for two DVDs, and they should have confirmed the price with me in advance with a phone call.
