History

Established in 2001.

Network Checker was founded in 2001 by Pete Dempsey. The company was named after the iconic Checker cabs that staff drive through the Boulder/​Denver area servicing clients. The dedicated staff has grown steadily through the years. Honesty, integrity and dedication to the client are key tenets at Network Checker.

Business Owner

Peter Dempsey founded Network Checker in Boulder, Colorado in October 2001. He oversees all facets of the company’s operations on a daily basis. Dempsey’s career includes many years in software development as well as Network Administration.

Prior to founding Network Checker, Dempsey founded 3 other startups including a .com startup company that he ran for 15 years. After selling this venture he saw a need for a full service IT support company in the Boulder area and began work on Network Checker.

The company was named for the iconic classic Checker Cab that has become its trademark. Network Checker has two restored Checker Cabs. The distinctive yellow cabs can be seen daily on the streets of Boulder as they roll for daily network maintenance visits.

Dempsey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines as well as continuing education certifications from Microsoft Corporation. He is a member of the honorary fraternity Tau Beta Pi.
