History

Established in 1986.

Plants Auto Service was founded on January 1^st, 1986 by Gary and Spencer Plant. After working at the Boulder Buick, GMC dealership and Rush Motors for 14 years, Gary decided to open a shop of his own, with the focus being customer service and quality, long lasting auto repair. Now the shop is run by Spencer Plant with Service Adviser Jay Volesky.

Business Owner

Spencer started fixing cars when he was a teen in the 1970’s. His father, Gary started work in his Grandpa’s Garage when he was just a kid. So fixing cars is what the founders of this shop have in their blood. While still in school he learned from his Dad while building his first car, a 1967 Camaro, over weekends and during Summer break. He went to work full time after High School for the then Buick, GMC dealership in Boulder, Rush Motors. He apprenticed under his Dad, learning how the internal combustion engine worked. He became the Head Tune up mechanic when his father went to work elsewhere and remained there until at age 22 he and his Dad started Plants Auto Service on January 1^st, 1986. He learned that fixing the problem right the first time, was just a part of having a successful business. Even more important is to treat people with Integrity and Respect. Those are the cornerstones of this business still today, 29 years later.
