Rainbow is a small, high quality, learning based center tucked away in south boulder. Our center has provided a safe, nurturing environment for over 30 years. We have excellent low student/​teacher ratios, offer flexible schedules, easy access to superior, Louisville, and Lafayette, enroll only 25 children per day, and have 2,634 square feet of play space (and that’s just inside!). Our program includes structured, small group times with planned activities, as well as plenty of free time to explore and be creative. We place great emphasis on reading to the kids, many healthy movement activities, positive interaction between adults and other children, being a garden to table school, and being lively playful and fun!

History

Established in 1977.

We are a non-​profit school that was started by the Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in 1977. We have been offering high quality Child Care for working parents for over 38 years. Our director has been with the school for the past 28 years, and most of the teachers have been with the school for over 10 years. Our program has blossomed though these years and we always encourage parents, as well as staff and alumni to continue to help us evolve and refine our program. Through these years we have been most closely compared to the Reggio Emelia schools, but with a few differences to fit our own values and philosophy.
