Ripple Pure Frozen Yogurt

Ripple Pure probably has every topping you’d ever want on top of frozen yogurt, so if that’s your concern, worry not. I went here a short while ago to sate my annual ‘froyo’ desire, and it certainly worked for me. As I’m much more of a fan of the fruity selections for yogurt and toppings, I was happy to square away a small tropical bucket of assorted yogurt and sorbet covered in a mountain of fruity toppings (plus cheesecakes, of course). I can’t say I expected a palate catharsis, but I definitely wasn’t disappointed either. Not only was it delicious, it was also refreshing.
However, my brother is much more of a chocolate and sweets fanatic, and after filling his cup with birthday cake, cookie batter, and triple chocolate, he poured on the candy toppings. He was disappointed. Whether it was bad luck or the nature of the beast — so to speak, the yogurt was instantly melting into liquid, it was far too sweet, and he couldn’t finish it off for the life of him. Leaving, he was embarrassed to have just spent $ 10 on ‘that mess’. There’s a lesson here, somewhere…
Anyways, the verdict seems to be that this place is a great option to get your frozen yogurt fix, but definitely take the time to sample the flavors before you pour them in your cup. Some of these yogurts are less viscous and refined than you might have hoped.

Ripple has an assortment of flavors and toppings that rotate weekly to make each visit different. My favorite yogurt flavors were the tiramisu and cookie butter. Several of the options they had were organic as well. The topping selection was crazy ranging from an assortment of hard candies to gluten free brownies and fresh baked cookies.
The reason for the four star rating was the staff was not friendly and in the back most of the time.
This is the best FroYo in Boulder, so if you have a sweets craving but want to stay relatively healthy, this is the place.

This place had the best frozen yogurt that I have ever had. Most of the flavors were gluten free and I believe dairy free. What I liked was the variety. I prefer tart, fruity flavors which they had. If you like unique flavors they had that too. The atmosphere was bright and comfy. It was a great place to stop in.

Love the variety of flavors here. Warm cookies and brownies bits are an extra touch. Lots of seating. Wish they had more drinks available.

Yummy froyo place with great flavor and toppings selections. They give you three sample cups, with pretty generous in my opinion. I’ve been here twice already, since finding out about it a couple of days ago.
I got 3 flavors in my cup since I’m super indecisive: peppermint patty, cookie butter. And latte. PP and CB I had sampled beforehand and fell in love with. They both tasted spot on, just like York peppermint patties and cookie butter in froyo form. Their textures were also very creamy. Peppermint patty was by far my favorite of the lot, and I usually don’t even like mint icecream. Latte, which I just assumed would be good, was a disappointment. It was very icy in texture, and the flavor was just weird, like sour coffee. Perhaps it was one of their non-​dairy flavors, I’m not sure. The next time I went, I tried the mango raspberry lemonade, which was refreshing and delish. The flavor, once again, was spot on.
Their toppings selection is A+: Girl Scout crunch bars, Oreos, mochi, circus animal cookies, a wide selection of cereals and fresh fruit, homemade brownies, cookies, and caramel sauce just to name a few.
This is a great place to go with friends or after a long afternoon ambling around 29^th street mall.

The only reason I came here today was a friend wanted to meet here. She goes about once a week, but I maybe come here once a year. Ripple does NOT have a huge selection of frozen yogurts to choose from, but they do change flavors regularly, according to my friend. I counted 20 dispensers, but not all of them are actually frozen yogurt. I saw 8 flavors of frozen yogurt today, a few gelato flavors, and a few non-​dairy desserts (made with almond milk or fruit juices) all in soft serve dispensers. I’ve been to other places (though not in Boulder) that offer twice as many options. Most people will find something they like. They also have a fair selection of toppings, though I’m not into heaping things on top of my desserts so much, so I just pass them up.
Today, I chose a mint peppermint patty and Oreo flavored mix of gelatos. Neither one had much flavor to them, and they melted too fast, which I was surprised by. I was disappointed to say the least in their lack of flavor, and at $ .49 an oz. my small serving, which took up ¹⁄₃ of the large cup, was over $ 3.25. They only had really big cups too, which I don’t like either. So wasteful. There should be 3 sizes, not one super large one. It’s just too easy to get carried away when there is only one size cup to choose from. It’s a marketing ploy I hate.
The atmosphere here is so-​so. It’s all pink, white and grey. It reminds me of 1970’s colors, not that I care. It was pretty clean, and I saw a young woman going around wiping tables and chairs, checking the trash bins and refilling things while I was there. There are plenty of places to sit inside, but no tables outside, only chairs. The noise level was pretty high, but then it was late afternoon on a hot summer day, so tons of kids coming and going.
Ripple is in a strip mall that has many businesses, so it shares parking with all of them, including the King Soopers grocery store, but parking is free, unlike downtown. Finding a parking space can be challenging. Luckily, I scored one right in front of Ripple.
I’m just not impressed by Ripple. Personally, I prefer Two Spoons — which is downtown, or Glacier Ice Cream (there are two locations and both have free parking). These are also local companies I’d rather support. Both also have much fuller flavors, more original flavors, and higher quality products. I think Ripple is a chain, but even if it isn’t, I just don’t like it enough to come here unless someone else really wants to.

Ripple is nostalgia for me more than anything. When it opened, I was just a mere high school student and the froyo craze had just begun. My friends and I would always make froyo stops when we finally got our licenses as little sophomores, since it was so close to our school. A couple years later, I’m a college student and still a fan of ripple frozen yogurt.
Hands down though, this is probably the best froyo in Boulder. It’s not too busy with their flavors that some froyo locations like to offer in order to confuse you into submission. Just the classic or straightforward good stuff. I’m crazy about almond flavored things and I’ve never discovered another place that carries that flavor other than ripple so ripple’s got the monopoly on that flavor profile!
Although I’m not saying it’s THE best froyo I’ve ever tried because I’ve certainly tasted better in Denver or outside Colorado, but ripple reigns as king in Boulder, in my opinion.

Great place for frozen yogurt in Boulder! They have a wide offering of toppings and frozen yogurt flavors; some are staples, some will change according to the Season… Today I got a red velvet cake frozen yogurt that was delicious!
The place is also pretty clean and has a bar ambiance with pretty loud music –which is good when you go with noisy kids–
I would love if they had a downtown location, and at least two different sizes for their cups.

Without doubt, one of the best frozen yoghurt places near CU Boulder. Great flavors and a variety of fresh fruit and other toppings!

Came in here for a sweet treat, it was our first time. The employees were nice, and they have a great selection of yogurt and toppings!
The only reason for not giving five stars is that it was pretty cold and the restaurant was a little dirty. It just wasn’t a comfortable welcoming atmosphere.

My absolute favorite frozen yogurt and gelato place! They are not stingy with tasters and I cannot say enough about the quality… the hardest part of the visit is kicking what to fill your container with!

This is my go to place for frozen yogurt in Boulder, Colorado. It has a huge variety of flavors and toppings to choose from, and you can manually add how ever much you want or don’t want. The prices are reasonable, as well. Highly recommended.

Stop by one night after dinner and was surprised how crowded it was with the 40° weather… every flavor of yogurt was fresh. There was a young gentleman in there that make sure everything was clean and asked us if we were satisfied, make sure everything was running smooth. they had a super variety of toppings to choose from. I would not hesitate to return to this location

I was really happy that they had a Mango Sorbet. As that’s one of my favorite flavors of all time I was extremely happy that they had it. They have had a bunch of really good and healthy option flavors, other than just the normal fatty stuff. It was an excellent ice-​cream store. You definitely need to be wary that the cups they give you to fill up are HUGE so that you can be deceived and fill the cup up really high. Personally, I only needed like a third of a cup or something. Either way — it’s a great option for Boulder people to take girls out on a date.

Awesome place. So much better than anything else I’ve found in Boulder and the ingredients are all natural, organic+local (when possible). They have plenty of toppings and their fro-​yo isn’t super sweet like other places.

Nice little yogurt shop. Was in the area on a weekend and wanted to treat myself to some froyo, so I pulled out Unilocal and this place popped up. There were some families in there — seemed like a popular place for a little kiddo treat. They had lots of flavors to sample, and a ton of different toppings. I liked that a lot of the toppings were in the kinds of containers where you twist a knob and the items fall out of the bottom — much more sanitary that way. I checked in on Unilocal and got a deal, so definitely don’t forget to do that! The price seemed on par with other yogurt shops. I’d definitely return if I was in the area and jonesing for some froyo!

I feel like either their yogurt has gone downhill or everyone else has gotten the flavor quirks worked out, because I was really disappointment by the kinks in the flavors when we went a couple weeks ago. It seemed like everything had an odd after taste.
The toppings selection is top-​notch, however, so if you care more about the toppings than the yogurt, this is your spot.
