Spavia Day Spa

I have been to this particular spavia twice and I have been less then impressed with the front desk staff. My first massage was a year ago and the second one was today. In both instances the moment I walked in, the receptionist, Patty, was rushing me, snippy and came off as too hurried to take care of my questions about my service. In both cases, I felt she tainted the relaxing environment that a spa should have as you walk trough the doors. I will not recommend this spavia to anyone, in fact I will recommend against. All that aside, the actual massage service I received was wonderful.

The place is very clean and the staff is very welcoming, professional. My massage was exactly what I asked for and was done extremely well. I prefer a firm massage and this was the strongest I’ve had. My brother and I both enjoyed our experience and think it’s a great spot!

I’ve been enjoying massages at Spavia for the past 6 months. There are so many massage places in Boulder I tried several before deciding that Spavia would be my regular location.
Spavia works hard to personalize your spa experience from letting you choose the lotion and the music for your massage to giving you tea and a shoulder wrap so you are relaxed before and after your massage. All the massage therapist are experienced which helped me relax during sessions and work out tired muscles from running to weight lifting.
I highly recommend Spavia for a relaxing and well priced massage from some of the best in the business.

I went to Spavia with my daughter and we both had a wonderful experience. She had the Spavia signature massage and I had the sports massage.
The place is inviting with a relaxation room, shower and lockers.
They ask you to arrive about 10 minutes before your appointment in order to fill out paperwork.
You also get to choose the music and the scent of the lotion they’ll be using for the massage, which is a nice touch that I don’t remember having in other spas.
I also appreciate the fact that there was no pressure to sell us anything when we left.

Quick update to this — the Spavia owner reached out to me about my less than great experience with the wrap and offered to have a different person redo the wrap on the house. Kerri, the owner, took a lot of time to get feedback on what could be improved, and the experience was so much better the 2^nd time around. Sherri was really great, and the scrub actually felt like it was scrub, vs a light application. I declined the hair oil treatment this time to avoid the greasy, crunchy hair thing, but still got a fantastic scalp massage.
All in all, I still don’t know if I’m sold on the whole idea of a scrub/​wrap vs a massage or facial in terms of the value for what you get, but I’m definitely going to keep my membership at Spavia and keep trying different things! And you really can’t beat the customer service.

Great deep tissue massage by Anais. I get a lot of massages and like very firm pressure. This was excellent — highly recommend.

This spa is wonderful. After my first massage, I signed up for the membership because the experience was great from start to finish. I was impressed with how professional the front desk was, the amenities available before the massage, and the relaxation room prior to going in for my massage. My first massage wasn’t great, to be honest, because I wanted (and paid for) a deep tissue massage (which I’ve been receiving for over 16 years now) and ended with something similar to a Swedish massage. I never would fall asleep during a deep tissue massage (pain so good…) but I fell asleep during my massage because it was too «fluffy.»
However! They accommodated me after I said something about my fluffy massage afterwards and told me there were some deep tissue specialists — so I signed up for the membership and am looking forward to my upcoming appointment. Also — big bonus that you can buy gift certificates at a discount to bring along spouses, friends, etc.

From the moment you walk in — you know you are in for a real treat, So far all of the services I have had have been great. An affordable indulgence!

I had an unfortunate experience my last time. The manager personally called me and gave me a complimentary massage to make up for it. The next massage was unbelievable! Christy did a fabulous job of knowing the balance between releasing tension while still having a relaxing massage.
I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends!

Great! This place was awesome. The moment you walk in you are greeted by super friendly staff. The venue itself is super clean airy and relaxing. My massage therapist wa a Christiana and she was wonderful, my friend had Steven and had nothing but positive feedback to provide. If you are locale take advantage of the club membership options to get discounted rates and month massages. Very much enjoyed my experience there.

I’m really impressed with my experience at Spavia, they have incredible customer service! I had a small issue with billing and they went above and beyond to handle it quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend their services!

I visited this spa with two friends during a girls weekend trip. We all thought the massage we received was excellent. I try to get a massage at least every 6 – 8 weeks, and sometimes I am disappointed when I don’t go to my regular therapist. I was pleasantly surprised to receive one of the best massage experiences I have ever had here. My therapist was Liz, but my friends both had a wonderful massage too. Would love to visit this spa again!

I am amending my review from 5−12−15. Kerri the owner of the Boulder store has made many attempts (and succeeded) at correcting the problems I had experienced. She helped me use the rest of my membership treatments (already paid for) at a Spavia closer to me.
I would try them a few times before joining the membership, to ensure you find consistent service and a therapist you like.
Applause does go to Kerri for her efforts to make me a happy customer.

I purchased a Groupon to try this place out since I already have a local massage place I go to monthly… so before my Groupon expired, I scheduled a late afternoon massage with Ryan…60 minutes, firm pressure.
When I entered the place, Janet at the front desk greeted me warmly and had me fill in a quick form, then led me to the locker room and showed me everything, including my robe and slippers. The décor of the place is very nice and elegant, and the lockers have a nice little box for your jewelry, which I thought was pretty cool and handy. Then you go into a nice waiting area until your masseuse comes to get you… Ryan came and led me into a very nice room, you get to select your music type as well as whether or not you want them to talk to you during the massage! Ryan also gave me time to disrobe and get under the blankets before entering the room to start my 60 min massage.
Ryan was awesome and I would definitely recommend trying him! He also gave me my full 60 minutes, which is great, since one of my biggest pet peeves is places that start the clock ticking as soon as they lead you into the room so you aren’t getting your full 60 minutes… at any rate, the massage was amazing and I wished that I had longer than 60 minutes (next time.!). He hit all the tight spots and worked on all the various knots I had in my upper body… I feel so relaxed as I write this, it’s soooooo nice! He also got some great pressure points on my hands and feet. Nice firm pressure, just simply a terrific massage! Ryan asked if I would like water at the end, so he had a cup waiting for me when I exited the room and then he directed me towards the locker room.
I took advantage of the shower facilities, great stone/​granite shower, nice smelling body wash… just a beautiful locker room in general and very spa-​like! I signed up for their monthly premium membership, which means next month I get an 80-​minute massage! I can also bring a friend or 2 for a terrific reduced rate to get a massage as well on my membership, how can you beat that??? Can’t wait and highly recommend trying this place!

I highly recommend Spavia in Boulder. It is a wonderful relaxing experience. I have a membership which makes having a massage at least once a month very affordable and it allows me to buy gift cards for friends and family for a very inexpensive price. I’ve had many massages with a number of different therapists and they have all been great. I’ve had a facial that was also wonderful. The staff is friendly and professional and the spa is beautiful and tranquil making for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

I love massages and get them a fair amount. I have chronic pain and love a true deep tissue. After reading reviews, I booked a deep tissue with Carmen and it was insane! She knew muscles no masseuse has ever worked on. She even gave me home work and recommended home remedies. She is incredible and the best masseuse in boulder in my opinion. She is so strong and could truly give me the pressure I needed. I also love the spa itself. Great location, quiet, nice robes and slippers, great tea, chocolate and almonds. Great mood. It was just a wonderful experience and I have been to spas all over the world so I was impressed considering its in 29^th street mall!

I had an excellent experience here. It was so cheap to buy a massage on Groupon ($ 42) and well worth it. The experience is completely customizable, you can select the music you want, your desired pressure, the lotion, if you want tea or water afterwards, etc. I got an amazing massage from Kelly who was very nice and made the experience wonderful. They give you your own locker, spa shoes, a warm neck pillow, and tea before you get started. I am definitely going back to treat myself. That was the most relaxed and blissful I have felt in a long time!

I just went to this new spa and received a massage with Carmen, It was fantastic.
I was impressed with the quality of massage and atmosphere, very professional and accommodating.
I was pleased to discover Carmen, and several of their Massage Therapists are BCMT grads — which usually means that they are knowledgeable and well-​trained.
Carmen provided a wonderful massage that was very comforting, yet effectively got to my needed areas. It felt like I was actually getting my muscles worked, yet the massage was soothing and relaxing as well — which was what I asked for. I have received a lot of massages, and Carmen is awesome.
This place has much higher quality massage than Massage Envy and is competitively priced. Definitely recommend it.
