We have been locally owned and operated since 1973! The Fitter has been located on The Hill for 40 years and continues to serve the Boulder community. We pride ourselves on being locally owned and supporting local artists. We have a variety of merchandise ranging in clothing and hats from LRG, NEFF, Grassroots California, WearTheParty, Exact Science, Whoopzip, to unique brands by local students. We also carry the best of the best when it comes to smoking accessories. Whether it be an inexpensive glass pipe or a mouth watering art piece, we would love to find you your next piece! History

Established in 1973.

One of the longest-​operating headshops in the United States celebrated its fortieth year in operation in 2013. Opened in the spring of 1973, 2014 marks the year this Boulder headshop turns 41. Formerly know as «The Pipefitter,» this one-​time head shop has leapt headlong into the 21^st century. That’s right, it’s not just hippie outfits and ‘60s and ‘70s kitsch anymore. The Fitter now stocks the latest in surf ‘n’ skate wear and other boutique fashions. It has also made a name for itself as the region’s foremost purveyor of flip flops. However, its psychedelic past has yet to completely fade away; it is consistently named «Best Pipe Shop» in Boulder Weekly’s annual «Best of Boulder» issue.
