Description

Specialties

The Ringmaker is a unique family-owned jewelry store & factory in Boulder, CO. We’re on the west side of 30th St., just south of Valmont Rd. in a building with Robb’s Boulder Music & Dance for Kids.

The Ringmaker is unique, as a jewelry store, since we make the majority of the custom pieces we sell right on the premises. Client’s may choose from one of the over 1500 samples in our showroom, they can bring in their own design, or work with us to create a custom design. Whichever method, the Ringmaker will make your jewelry, «As you like it.»

With a complete shop on the premises, most repairs are completed on-site, & never leave the building. We have a selection of alternative metal (Tungsten, Cobalt, Ceramic) wedding bands as well as yellow/white/rose gold & Platinum. We repair jewelry for local jewelry stores, & can handle most repairs. Using our Laser-welder enables us to work on different metals & antique [costume] jewelry. We also laser-weld titanium & other metal framed glasses.

History

Established in 1944.

The Ringmaker is the «wholesale to the public» division of the Ring Specialty Company. We have been in business since 1944, and up until 1992, sold exclusively to retail jewelry stores throughout the country. We relocated our factory from Minneapolis, MN. to Boulder, CO. in August of 1992, where we opened our first, «direct to the public» retail store in Boulder.

We continue to manufacture and repair for the wholesale jewelry trade. However, our retail store has become the larger portion of our manufacturing.

Meet the Business Owner

Jerry R.

Business Owner

Jerry is the passionate owner of The Ringmaker jewelry store in Boulder, Colorado. He and his lovely wife of over 50 years, Nancy run the popular jewelry store where their reputation precedes them amongst long time Boulder residents. You’ll understand this family-oriented atmosphere the minute you enter the store and are greeted by the Dogs: Myah and Peggy-Sue, The Ringmaker’s welcoming committee. (Yes, they are VERY friendly, even if they bark, its only because of their excitement or surprise.)

Prior to entering the jewelry industry in 1974, Jerry spent many years in sales management and training. Besides his passion for the jewelry business, Jerry is an avid reader in his spare time. Other interests include classic automobiles and western/cowboy memorabilia. If you like to exercise, you’ll probably recognize Jerry as a regular at the Boulder YMCA. He is also an active member in Rotary international and is constantly participating in Boulder Rotary Club meetings and functions.
