Dr. Rich at The Specific is wonderful. He’s very knowledgeable and passionate about helping others to health. He’s very passionate about working with children who learning and behavioral disabilities; providing natural and effective solution. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Rich Baez is extremely knowledgeable in upper cervical chiropractic and has helped me to understand the importance it has enabling the body’s ability to heal. Through every detail from his communication to the comfort of his office space, it was clear he is committed to providing the highest quality care to his patients. I have no hesitated to recommend Dr. Baez to any friend or family member that I think could benefit from his treatments.

They were very thorough keeping track of my symptoms and progress as well as the initial assessment. They also had plenty of information for me so that I could support the healing process and prevent further injury.
I worked with Dr. Baez and always felt welcome. He was very helpful and taught classes on the how the treatment/​how to support it and other health topics.

Dr. Rich is a caring Doctor that focuses on a different type of Chiropractic that isn’t just based on getting you out of pain. He takes the time to explain the difference in Specific care to make sure it is the right fit .

The Specific Chiropractic Center in Boulder is such a healing place. Dr. Rich and Dr Alison are really knowledgeable, listen, and care to what you are dealing with. When I first found this clinic I thought it was going be like every other chiropractor I have seen. I thought they were going to «crack» my back and send me on my way. Not here. They take the time to do a thorough exam and x-​rays. The office is so relaxing and calming. After an adjustment you get to go in the «nap room» and rest in these zero gravity chair… AMAZING! They help so many people with migraines, MS, and Fibromyalgia. I would highly recommend these guys if you are dealing with a chronic health issue.

I have had so much benefit from seeing an Upper Cervical specialist over the years. I struggled with chronic vertigo and many different digestive issues, all left western medicine scratching their heads. I am so grateful that today I have a solution for these issues that does not include popping any pills! In addition I sleep better and have more energy to enjoy life with :). Dr. Alison is supportive, a teacher at heart and relaxed, a great combination!

I went to the Specific Massage Center because I had severe pain in my neck and shoulders. The center is serene and calming, and from the second I walked in I felt very relaxed. My massage was awesome. She carefully listened to what I came in for and focused on those areas, checking to make sure I was comfortable. By the end of the massage I felt like a new person. The discomfort I had been experiencing when I came in was gone.
I also really loved the oils that were used during the massage; they smelled amazing. I will definitely be going back to the specific massage center!

I had fallen down some steps the other week with my hands full with a basket of laundry. I tweaked my neck and after it hand’t started to feel better after a few days, I came into The Specific Massage Center. I had no idea what a treat my shoulders, upper back and neck were in for. I had tried massaging and working out the soreness myself, and nothing helped. After leaving this place, I felt like a brand new woman! I had never been to a place like this before, but I had heard about it from a number of friends and others. Needless to say I was pretty nervous and didn’t know what to expect. They made me feel comfortable and like a true patient being taken care of. Whether you had injured yourself or need to relax, I would recommend this place to YOU. I am now a believer of letting the pro’s massage me, instead of thinking I can fix everything myself.

While I can talk about the environment and aura of the facility I am not one for materialistic things, so I won’t.
I am here to talk about the pain in my butt, a pain so great I was unable to focus on my work, exercise, or most importantly sleep. I suffered from Piriformis Syndrome, if anyone is unaware of this problem, it is a pain similar to Sciatic that can literally drain you of life. My pain became so intense that I was unable to sleep, sit for longer than 10 minutes (I work in software mind you), and do any type of exercises. I contacted Specific Massage to learn more about this issue.
Before contacting them, I used the inter webs to figure out what was wrong with my and why my bum hurt. After I self diagnosed myself with the help of WebMed, I decided I had at least 7 broken bones, dislocated hip, herniated discs, impacted bowel, a possibly torn ACL, and migraines, I called in. After describing my symptoms to them, my actual problems were explained… I still self diagnose its a habit.
The clinic provide me with in-​depth stretches to do in home prior to my appointment, which by the way helped immensely. Within hours of starting the stretches the tightness and pain reduced providing me the ability to first and foremost get some much needed rest. After my appointments I haven’t had any redux of my issues, which is amazing since I am forced to sit for extended hours a day at work.
The Questions:
Would I recommend service?: Yes.
Advice to business?: Maybe get a few puppies for the office, because puppies.
Level of professionalism?: Top notch. Honestly I was not expecting the level of care provided to me and to walk away armed with knowledge they provide has helped me beyond belief.
Location?: Easy to find, even without a map. (Yes I still use those and notes on the map)
Cost?: Based upon my experiences with other local providers and comparing the level of care provided, it’s unmatched on all levels.
If you are looking for superb care and experiences, Specific Massage is your spot. Again having been to other spots around Boulder and Denver, I’ve yet to find one I can compare to Specific.

WOW! I have a lot of stress in my life and after my message at Specific Massage Center, I feel great. I found that very few massage therapists listen with their hands. They do a very nice job making you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in the door. I found that several hours after the massage I was still feeling relaxed and calm. Everyone should make this a stop on their hectic schedule, especially with the holiday season coming up.

The atmosphere of The Specific Massage Center is very welcoming, relaxing, and calm. I had tension in my neck and shoulder blades to which the massage therapist spent time on instead of a ‘cookie-​cutter’ deep tissue massage that I have received at other places. This was my first experience with doTerra essential oils as part of a massage and I have to say I don’t think I can do without going forward. My massage therapist gave me some recommendation stretches and i didn’t feel rushed. I have already booked my second massage!

The Specific Massage Center has a great ambiance, quality service and intelligent employees. I went for a massage to relax and relieve tension in my shoulders, neck, and head. I left feeling relaxed and at peace. The masseuse was attentive, checked in with me in regards to the pressure and definitely addressed my needs. She listened to what areas I asked her to focus on and definitely did her job. I was happy to pay and tip well for the massage. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing great massage!

I had no idea that I could get such a great massage for a really awesome price. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and I really like the inclusion of doTerra aromatherapy. It made my massage extra special. The space is quiet and there is ample parking only 2 blocks away from the bustle of Pearl St. The massage was greatly therapeutic and intuitive and the therapist has a great knowledge of complementary medicine to enhance your treatment. I’ll be back!

Why I liked this office:
1) Dr Bremner is very professional, yet at the same time made me feel very comfortable in her office and treated me as a person not a number
2) In-​house X-​ray!!! I thought this was super awesome and convenient
3) The resting room. This was such a great feature. I was able to completely relax.
