Meet the Business Owner
Amy S.
Business Owner
Amy Simkins began dancing in St. George, Utah. After High School, she attended the University of Utah studying child development, education, and dance. In 2004 she graduated with a degree in sociology. Since moving to Northern Utah, Amy has become an accomplished dancer, performer, choreographer and teacher.
Before establishing Expressions Dance and Preschool in 2006, Amy gained experience teaching ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, lyrical and academic preschool for several dance studios. She also worked as an with Ballet West Conservatory’s «I CAN DO» program. She has created first-place choreography nationwide for high schools, dance studios and Two Little Hands Productions to name a few. Amy’s biggest ambition in running a dance studio is to create a place where everyone who comes through the door feels valued. Her mission is to not only create excellent dancers, but confident, strong young people who exhibit positive self-esteem in all facets of life.
