The lemon tarragon salad is my go to dish at Plates and Palates! If you’re ever bored with the same ol’ same ol’ then give this place a try. Beware that if you go at lunch time you will wait. (They do their best to speed up the process though and the food is fabulous)! I always call ahead so my order will be ready when I get there and I never stay to «eat in» on a busy weekday. If you show up with a few girlfriends at noon time you’re not likely to get a table!

A little pricey but amazing food and combinations. Incredible desserts and lovely service. I always have the Reuben and penne pasta salad.

I’ve been hesitant to try this place because it could be hit or miss… but honestly it was SO yummy! We went for lunch, around noon. The place was PACKED! Food is fresh and so full of flavor! The set up was a little weird — we assumed it would be like casual dining, but it’s more set up like a restaurant. They direct you where to sit, and you pay when you’re done eating. No one really told us that, so it was a little confusing. But! The overall atmosphere and experience was still great! We will definitely be eating here again (and again!). Little pricey, but you get a TON of food, so it’s worth it ;)

The service is great. Prompt, friendly and the food came out quick. My wife tried a Rueben sandwich and I tried a half Italian Turkey sandwich half fajita chicken salad. These sandwiches are awesome! Don’t forget to try one of their great desserts too.

If you’re looking for a healthy and delicious lunch, this is a local favorite.
They’ve got a great quinoa and sweet potato salad, that I like to get with the apple turkey sandwich.
It’s a little weird when I go there for lunch and my group represents just about all of the male customers…
But the food taste’s great. (A bit pricey for lunch) but delicious none the less :)

I love this place! The menu items are creative, healthy, and delicious! I ordered all the food from my wedding reception here, and everyone just raved about how good it was! The owner is always there working, and is so nice. The ladies in my office go here probably once a month, and it’s even so good, my husband will drive from Salt Lake to meet me there for lunch. It’s awesome!

I really enjoy this restaurant though sometimes I feel that it is a little bit on the pricey side. Their salads are fresh and similar to what you might make it home if you had lots of wonderful ingredients on hand. I generally have either the fajita salad or the spinach and shrimp salad or the vegetarian sandwich. All of those items are delicious and well-​made. I asked for diet friendly last time and they suggested spinach shrimp salad with lemon dressing. Most of their dressings are high in sugar. The lemon dressing definitely had some sugar in it, but it tasted light and was very good. This is not a good place for little children. They have no children’s menu and do not allow outside food so you cannot take a kids meal for them.

I thought my meal here was insanely delicious (southwest turkey panini with pears and pecans salad). Not only that, but the portions were generous and the service was great! I’d definitely recommend trying this place. That being said, not everyone in our party was as satisfied with their meals, but what can you do?

Food is good. Great little mom and pop sandwich shop. I think it a better take place than stay place.

I come here every time I am in town, which unfortunately is less than once per year at most. The southwest turkey sandwich is utterly fantastic and is amongst the best ever. Everything from the crisp and crunchiness of the bread, to the sliced fresh turkey, to the amazing sauce with whatever the heck is in it. Try this sandwich, I guarantee you will love it!
The owner is a great guy and recognizes me and remembers my order from the second I walk in, even after years at some points.
The establishment is always clean and bright, but do not attempt to go at the high point of the lunch hour, as you will probably not get a seat!

They are always really nice and the food here is delicious! I haven’t tried one thing I didn’t like!

The service was good but the food was just really nothing special. Everything we ordered could have been made at home. It was way overpriced and overall just disappointing.

Met some friends here for lunch the other day and was blown away by the food! The southwest panini is probably the best sandwich I have ever had! I was not expecting such a delicious lunch from what I thought was just a little deli in Bountiful. Will definitely be going back!

I love this place. My favorite thing about it is that they make their food from scratch & don’t try to pass off pre-​prepared stuff as their own. I’ve never been disappointed, some masks were better than others, but everyone has a unique palate, so they satisfy everyone’s tastes.
I like that they prepare their meals right in front of you. They don’t have anything to hide which is always a plus for me.
One other thing I love about this place is their kid food. It’s hard to find healthy options for them at other restaurants, so going here is great because we can all eat relatively healthily.

This is our «go to» place for our friends birthday luncheons. Always fresh & delish! The shrimp/​spinach is my favorite but you really can’t go wrong. And don’t forget dessert! This place gets a little bit crowded about noon so plan accordingly. Locally owned & friendly service. Owners are always present & whiling to serve. Ü enjoy!

Love how fresh everything here tastes. The staff is friendly and it’s a chill place. I loved the mango avocado chicken salad, shrimp and spinach salad (great flavor), turkey apple sandwich (love this), and the Southwest turkey sandwich. Recommend bringing your friends here!

Their food is fresh, unique and tasty. Great salads (pasta and green), soups and sandwiches. They make their thick cut potato chips.
They don’t sell fun kitchen items to make more seating space so the interior isn’t as interesting.

I tried the Reuben with the fire tomato soup and it was delicious. My wife got the southwestern sandwich and she loved dipping her sandwich in my soup. We also sampled a few of their pasta salads, which were tasty.
The thing to know about this place is if you like over-​flavored, nasty American food, this place will disappoint you. However, if –like me– you like simple, good quality products, you will love this place.
For example, most people put heavy amounts of cream in their tomato soup to compensate for the fact that the tomatoes weren’t actually a good quality and it wouldn’t taste good otherwise. This tomato soup used no cream but tasted better than many that I’ve had. The ingredients had integrity, and that’s the most I would hope for.
There are a couple subtle suggestions I would make to balance flavors differently (like making the croutons less salty) but overall it was a five-​star experience.

What a nice find! Great soup and salad place! Staff was extremely helpful and friendly and pointed out a healthy lunch. Looks like a cute cooking and lunch shop that invites one to linger. My salad looks fantastic w/​a tastie poppy dressing!
