I am conflicted, we have a wonderful home built by this builder. We love this house, we love the price we paid for it, but I do not love the builder.
This guy is young and not the most professional, often hard to get in touch with and rarely graces you with an audience. He comes from a family of builders (Crana Homes). So in some instances we feel like he may have a bit of a chip on his shoulder. We felt for the price, it was the best constructed home in the area, they did take a lot of extra steps to give you a fairly good quality home for the money and exceeded local building requirements in a lot of areas.
The girl that works in the office is very professional and attentive to your needs and aggressive to get the job done, she has been a great resource to both us and the builder.
We have warranty Items (Mostly cosmetic) that were never fixed, although we have had the builder out to look at them and had promised us that he would fix them.
I don’t want to scare you off, I think that most of my neighbors would agree that the home is sound, and you get a good value for the price. I think that everyone will have the same things to say about the builders follow through on warranty items.
We did not have any issues with Mold, water, Leaks, foundation cracks, etc. the house has stood up to some ridiculous storms and the tremendous weight of a lot of ice over the past two winters (bad ice storms) that have passed through the area and some terrible winds and has been just fine.
