My daughter started classes with Klotz instructors at a local community center. In order for her to get more frequent classes and progress more, we switched to the studio after about 9 months. I’m so glad we made the change! They offer a wide range of days and times for pee wee classes, and you come and go as your schedule allows. If you miss a class of two in a week, they allow you to make them up, which has been extremely helpful because our schedule can be very unpredictable. Their check in process is quick and easy … your kid can manage it themselves by scanning their card. The instructors are all amazing. They clearly have experience teaching children and always show patience. It’s apparent that they all take pride in their work and do their best to ensure the students understand and can demonstrate what they’re learning. I have several people who are lifelong martial arts learners and they stressed to me the importance of finding a place that doesn’t just push the kids through the belts. Klotz measures student progress periodically and, in my opinion, doesn’t rush them. If it takes a while for a student to earn the next belt, so be it. When they do progress you have the peace of mind knowing that they have a solid knowledge of their level. As far as the location itself, it is fairly easy to find. There is plenty of parking during classes, but it can be tight if there’s a tournament. They offer free wifi, which is great when you’re waiting for a class to end. They also sell quite a wide range of merchandise, which my daughter loves. And best of all — they now take credit cards in addition to check/money orders. I hate writing checks so this let’s me handle the bimonthly payments easier. I highly recommend.
