Lois Conklin has raised horses all her life. After living in Colorado, New Mexico and various parts of Texas, she finally settled in Springtown, Texas. Lois has experienced a wide geographic area right in the heart of horse country. Changing geographic areas made it difficult to insure her horses were getting the right nutrition. In order to insure her horses recieved proper nutritional care, Select the BEST products became a part of her daily feeding program. After using the product Lois began selling Select The Best Nutrition products to ranches in Texas. While she was working with trainers they began to request other hard to find quality horse products. Lois searched for the products and began to make them more available. That’s where our slogan «Unique Horse Products for Serious Horsemen» originated. This led Lois on a journey finding products all over which transformed Select Sales into what it is today, a true mercantile.

Business Owner

Part owner of Texas Equine Mercantile. He holds a degree in Business and a degree in Psychology from Sterling College (Kan) Where he was an All-​American Offensive Lineman. Growing up around horses he has always had hands on experience with them. Son to Dave & Lois he is 2^nd Generation owner of Texas Equine Mercantile.
