Tilia Tree Birthing was established in early 2015, born out of a love and a passion for supporting birthing women. I’m a firm believer that every woman’s birth experience will be the best it can be with the proper preparation and when a mother knows all of her options. I truly enjoy getting to know my clients and helping them through this life-​changing event with all that I can give.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I noticed a huge shift in my mood, namely in the form of anxiety. The difficulties and the experiences that stemmed from that condition really shaped my pregnancy, my birth choices, and who I am as a person. I decided sometime before I ever even gave birth that Doula work was something I needed to know more about; that everyone needed to know more about. Women have SO many choices. I need them to know that. I need to use what I’ve been through to encourage and comfort women through the sometimes overwhelming process of absorbing all the information out there, figuring out what makes them feel safe and respected, and deciding what kind of birth or parenting choices are right for them. Whatever it takes for my clients to feel a true sense of satisfaction and well-​being, that’s what I am here to work towards, beside them the whole way.
