History

Established in 1970.

Darwin Gebbie, along with his wife, Priscilla, founded PD Properties (P&D) in 1970 with the purchase of their first five-​family apartment house shortly after they were married. Darwin is the oldest of seven siblings all born and raised in Mansfield, Conn. Priscilla and Darwin have lived in southeastern Connecticut for their entire lives.

More than four decades later, PD Properties have developed and restored hundreds of properties in eastern Connecticut, laying the foundation for thousands of customers to call their high quality apartments, condominiums and single-​family residences, home.

«We try to reach the resident who wants a better place to live,» Darwin says. «We want them to be proud of their home. We have well-​maintained properties with great service available.»

Darwin grew P&D while working at Pratt & Whitney and simultaneously attending the University of Hartford. Darwin graduated with a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Hartford.

Meet the Manager

Alex G.

Manager

Alex Gebbie joined the family business shortly after graduating from Northeastern University’s College of Engineering in 2004 where he earned his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. Alex was born and raised in Lebanon, Conn. and attended Lyman Memorial High School.

Alex is a principal in the business and handles operations for leasing, property management and property development.
