Drinks were very good but food took absolutely forever to be delivered. It was a slow Sunday afternoon and the place was maybe half full

Went for drinks and appetizers on a slow night. After waiting 40 minutes we asked how long the food would be. We were told the kitchen«is really backed up tonight, there are tables waiting over an hour now and still no food.» A view into the kitchen revealed 5 cooks who all look like they just hit parole and don’t know what«handwashing» means. My sister reported walking into the ladies room and a male cook walked out of the stall, skipping the sink, and having left his bowel movement afloat in the toilet. Short review: decent priced drinks, never got our food, terrible service and we’re from a college town where that is the norm. Pass this one up.

Margarittaville meets Anna Maria. Open air, live music, large size(for the area) and has friendly service. Very salty beachy vibe, one of the more active spots on the island. Typical apps and drinks, good pricing and amazing view just across the street. You can smell the beach from here. Not as much of a ‘family dinner’ place as it is a ‘grab some drinks and apps, then maybe dinner’ with the friends type of place. Have fun!

We came here the first night of our vacation because it was the closest of several places recommended by the owner of the condo we were renting. I was fearful of a long wait but found it reasonable — maybe 15 min for our party of four. We were all pleasantly surprised and considered everything we had above average. We tried the IT Sampler app that came with coconut shrimp, wings, and black bean cakes — all were excellent. Husband had a broiled seafood plate and he especially liked the fish which was mahi. Daughter had mahi tacos and liked them. Son had lobster Mac & Cheese which was really penne with a creamy Parmesan sauce, but very good. I had scallop tacos which were just ok(I love scallops). Don’t hesitate to stop in, especially for an app. BTW live music was great!

Busy day at the Island Time. Got seated in a reasonable time. Waited 35 minutes, never got a server. Asked for a manager, told him of our wait. Walked out.

Great food great location. Great drink specials. Outdoor seating, day or night. I had the hot pastrami between two potato pancakes with creamy horseradish sauce. Awesome! Hubby says the mojitos are great and the bloody Mary’s are like a meal. Go here if you are in Bradenton Beaches Historic bridge street. Patio is dog friendly!

Pretty good, casual place. They have a very good craft beer selection worth investigating. Fairly diverse menu. I get the feeling that this would be a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon watching football games. One drawback: It’s located right on the corner of a busy intersection. Best to get a table away from the street if you are noise averse.

Good seating. The meal– there were five of us. I got pulled pork sliders~they were like three real burgers. Plus slaw, chips and beans? Too much. Then the lobster bisque was yummy, the Surf and Turf Burger was great! The Shrimp Caesar Salad was excellent. The reason I gave it four stars was the wait time, and my portion. Great Food!!!

I’ve been here already two times and each time I get the island vibe and friendly service. The drinks are cold and food is quite delicious. It’s located right on Gulf Drive and adjacent from the beach. I ordered the mojito and IPA beer, my girlfriend ordered the pick two half croissant and salad with potato chips. I ordered the burger with fries. Overall I always enjoy my service and food from Island time. If you’re in the Bradenton Beach area visit these folks they won’t disappoint.

Amazing that in 2015 a place will cater to the 10−15% of the people who are still dumb enough to smoke at the expense of the 85−90% who don’t. My wife and I had a beer at the bar and planned on eating there until we got smoked out. Until their policy changes, we won’t be back, and we will be sure to let our non-smoking friends know. P. S. No, it doesn’t matter that it’s open. We can smell the stench, especially when people on either side of us are smoking.

Cute place! It’s a typical beach bar but it works. It could be better when they have music but Friday night it was nuts here. Good for crazy good timea

Love the atmosphere and the red curry mussels! Unilocal says my review is short so I’m adding filler to to get my short and sweet review posted :) la la la la la la la

This is a great place to grab food and hear live music. The whole restaurant is mostly open so its very spacious and different then many restaurants in the area. ThHis place is close to the beaches and the price is very reasonable. They have a large bar and many menu choices. I had a hard time narrowing it down I decided on the chicken sandwich and the homemade potato chips were so delicious. The sandwich was so big I had to take half of it home. My friend got the hamburger and that was also a 2 meal burger. We shared some buffalo wings and they were spicy, but not too hot and nice and crispy. The wait staff always made sure we had everything we needed. I would be back to hang out here on a hot summer night.

Came here on a whim, saw that the place was pretty hoppin’, decided to stop in for dinner. Got seated and ordered a few drinks. We looked at the menu and it seemed like most of the food was a little overpriced for what the place looked like. We were planning on leaving to go somewhere else, but the waiter disappeared after he dropped our drinks off. We saw him several times, but he was either seating another table or watching the football games on the TVs, completely ignoring us. When I asked him for the check he didn’t ask us if anything was wrong or convince us to stay, nor did it look like he wanted to hear why. Came back with the check with no emotion, then disappeared again. I had seen other poor reviews of this place on Unilocal so I’m glad I didn’t order any food. If you’re not looking to watch a sports game, if suggest you stay away.

Skip it. I don’t usually write a review on a single visit, but I have to share how bad it was. We were attracted to the good live music we heard. I liked what I saw of the décor downstairs. Unfortunately those were the highlights of our late dinner. After we were seated and the waitress took our drink order, the host ended up coming over to ask if we had been helped because it was so long before she came back with said drinks or to take our food order. Not a huge issue, but alarming. Skip the mixed drinks which are 50% sour mix. I had the fish tacos which came with slices of AMERICANCHEESE in them instead of the advertised shredded, and a whole tablespoon of guacamole that was actually tasty. I saw the same from a pic someone else posted. I immediately asked for more guac and the waitress replied, «ok but I have to go upstairs for it so it will take a while». Gee, thanks. The homemade potato chips were lovely. I don’t like the Asian steamer basket platters. As someone in the biz, I know they’re made of flimsy wood so they aren’t sanitized in a dishwashing machine. Yuck. I’d rather have a red plastic basket that can at least go through the machine. I realize it’s open air but we were also bitten by fire ants. I wanted to like this place but they need John Taffer to rescue their bar. Skip it.

Unilocal’s description for two star reviews is spot on for Island Time; meh. Went on a Saturday night recently, around 8p. It wasn’t particularly busy but service was slow. I asked the server if the drinks were strong, I could tell by her hesitation that they may not be, so I went with my old standby Bacardi & Coke. I mentioned to her I had planned to get a Long Island but a weak long island that goes overboard on the mix sucks, so I didn’t want to risk it. She volunteered that I actually should get that because that’s one of the drinks that is pretty strong; okay, you talked me into it. Well, I should have gone with my gut, because it was horrible, and it was $ 8.50. I decided to get a vodka redbull randomly as my second drink and it was much much stronger, and $ 6.50, so who knows what is going on when vodka redbull is cheaper and stronger than a long island. Everyone else mostly complained about their drinks being weak, so perhaps sticking to beer is the safe bet here unless you know a bartender. I had eaten earlier in the day so I got the ahi tuna app; it was reasonable but small, and half the plate was consumed by some massive chunk of cucumber. The other folks in my party said the food was mostly average; no standouts. The bathroom was dirty. Only other things worth mentioning are that we sat downstairs and they had a two person band that had the volume absolutely blaring. We welcomed them going on break so our ears would get a rest. This particular band featured a fiddle for many of the songs, so not only was it loud, but it was that high pitched fiddle sound that made it even more piercing. I think they turn it up that loud to draw in people from the street, but it made us want to leave before we probably would have. The band was entertaining, it was just so darn loud it ruined the experience. Other issue that night is we sat at a particular table to get a view of the Bucs pre-season NFL game on one of the TV’s. Of course five minutes after we got our drinks the TV turned off and they couldn’t fix it, nor was there anywhere else for us to move to due to the size of our party. All in all, nothing to write home about, just another beach bar that underperforms because they don’t have to do any better thanks to the beautiful sand across the street.

Stay away! I can forgive the 1 hour wait for 2 sandwiches and even the terrible service and mind numbing steel drums, but the food is absolutely unacceptable and the restaurant itself is dirty. Grouper sandwich was bland, over-cooked and tasted like some kind of frozen white fish. Bun was hard, cole slaw was inedible and fries were terrible. «Steak burger» was a low quality frozen patty, over-cooked and bland. Also, bring a fly swatter if you plan to eat in the main porch area. Hopefully you won’t have to use the restroom because they are absolutely disgusting! This place is a dirty, overpriced tourist trap!

Yuck! Great location, cool setup, but there is much lacking here. I can’t imagine being an owner or manager of this place, walking through the establishment, eating the meal I was served, and somehow being ok with it . Downstairs houses a very large and unique open-air stage, bar, and outdoor patio. Upstairs has a dining room with a great view. If you’re having a cocktail or dining downstairs, you have to take the stairs or elevator to access the 2nd floor restrooms.(One toilet for females, one for males) When you reach the top of the stairs, your first visual is a nasty, dirty«employees only» door. Upon passing that door and hanging a left to make your way to the restroom, you will then pass the nasty, dirty runner that leads into the open kitchen door where you will clearly see and hear all of the colorful kitchen chatter and cursing going on. It is a hot, odd, and awkward space to wait in line to use the restroom. Hint: It’s called a Magic Eraser and it does wonders… so do closed doors. The bathroom was also clearly neglected for quite a while. THEMEAL: The hot pastrami between potato pancakes = 110% grease. I picked some of the meat off the«bread» and it was just as greasy. The coleslaw, flavorless. Our wait was also ridiculous despite being there at a slow time. My husband’s lobster bisque tasted more like pureed fish soup… definitely not rich and buttery.
