Super 8 Bradenton-Sarasota Area

Just stayed for a small new years trip Jan 2016. The rooms are dirty area is very shady. The room is decorated nicely but floors and carpet are nasty. Killed a few roaches in the bathroom and one in the small fridge. I keeped all food in the car just to be safe. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel has been redone but it is infested with roaches they were all over the pillows on the bed! They moved us twice into two other room, we had prepaid through one of those better deal sites and our money was not refundable. They didn’t offer to refund our money or even speak to us during the move! I can deal with most things but BUGS NO!

I only booked here because of the proximity and jacuzzi tub but the room was FILTHY and had little black bugs crawling on the wall of the bathroom. First night took a bath in the jacuzzi and walking across the floor to the restroom with bare feet I noted there was grime on the bottom of my freshly clean feet… I took a closer look at all the surface areas of the room after that, and was surprised to see the smoke detector laying on the clothes rack unplugged. I noted there was something moving on the clothes rack and saw other little bugs and greasy grime like someone had been cooking in the room with oil… perhaps with a hot plate? The toilet was loose, and I didn’t even bother taking a shower when I saw what looked like ants in the bottom of the tub. The SMELL in the room was offensive as soon as I walked in, but that’s not unusual. What I REALLY was grossed out on was the TOWELS all had BLACK stuff that I discovered to be MOLD when I pulled them all down noting there was mold on the wall where they were in the bathroom and ALL the towels were grimy and yellow/gray/dingy…I won’t EVER stay here again! For the same price I can get a place on the beach and not care about the condition of the room when I can be on the beach as much as I want! Breakfast was a JOKE!
