History

Established in 2013.

TAPSNAP’s concept idea was much larger than just the photo booth. We wanted to build a franchise with the photo booths being established in communities across North America and other countries.

The hardware and software development began in October 2011, along with the development of the new name and logo. We selected TapSnap™ as the name.

Over the next 12 months, TAPSNAP grew from ideas on a white board to a new business with an industry leading and revolutionary new product that can no longer be considered a mere photo booth. The term Phototainment® was coined as it fits a photo experience that is entertaining with high quality pictures.

After almost 30 years of working for large and mid-​sized companies, we decided it was time to to something we truly liked. With an interest in photography and meeting people we looked into the TapSnap franchise.

The more we learned about TapSnap the more we realized how much it engaged people at events. This reason was simple, it’s fun! Now, if you combine that with the modern, sleek design and the technology of a large touchscreen interface and instant social media access, you have a product and service that is fun and keeps people engaged.

TapSnap also has a commitment to the community. We have the ability to help charities, via their fundraisers, to get their word out through social media.
