Cheap food… We literally had a BUG(still alive) in our food. The waitress just laughed it off and just replaced the item it was on(Toast) and walked away. The place is infested with Fly’s. All the other guest were swatting fly’s with Newspapers and their hands. Makes you wonder what the cooking area is like. NEVER eating there again. I would pay extra for a clean bug free environment. When I called to complain, the owner asked it was a «BUG» or just«one of the fly’s» Well… he made it clear by our conversation on the phone he was aware they had an issue with bugs and fly’s.

Went here before skiing at Mount Sunapee and loved it! My boyfriend and I cannot believe the prices, we ended up paying $ 10 for a large breakfast for 2. The food obviously isn’t high end material which makes sense so rate it in context guys. Staff was friendly and we enjoyed the food, but who can beat that price?

The staff was rude and mean. The restaurant is dirty and when my wife went to help them clear a spot for our party to sit, «sit anywhere, «the dishwasher, waiter, short order cook, whatever he was, got mad at my wife and made her cry. The food is cheap but they charge extra for an extra plate if you ask for one and a $ 1.50 if you want real syrup. Avoid at all costs unless you are broke and don’t care about quality and service.

This place used to be good, but now is terrible. Let me start by saying i vacation in this area for most of my life and have dined in the restaurant several times in the past. It was always average food for a great price. I arrived at the junction at 8:30 am on a Saturday morning with my wife and 2 friends. To start I only had to ask the waitress 3 times for my ice coffee which was nice. We ordered Long Haul, Short Haul, side of Hash, bacon, pancakes and an Egg and Bacon Sandwich. The Home fries were dry and old, they were not made fresh, it seems like they were from the day before. The Bacon was dry and burnt. The English muffin was stale and not toasted. After all of that terrible food it wasn’t even the worst part. The Corn beef and Has was spoiled, i took a bite and it was sour and gross. I went to the bathroom because i thought i was going to throw up. I will never dine here again because its completely irresponsible to serve food that has gone bad. This place is definitely pushing the limit with the quality of their food. The prices are so low they must be stretching things way too far to meet rising food costs. They are afraid to raise the prices because of all the old penny pinching regulars. I don’t see this place staying open for too much longer serving this garbage food.

Went to Bradford Junction today around noon with my sister and brother-in-law.(And expected nephew). It was crowded so we figured that to be a good sign. Standing in the narrow entryway, a bunch of waitresses walked by without giving us the time of day. Not even a simple«hello». After roughly 20 minutes we notice that a table had opened up. It took us an extra 5 minutes to decide whether or not we should walk over to the table ourselves. When we finally decided to take the table we walked over and sat down. We patiently waited another 5 minutes for a waitress to finally come over to our side and say: «oh sorry we’re not serving anything anymore.» Just as we were about to walk out the door another waitress says: «sorry guys» to which my brother-in-law replied: «you know we had been waiting for about a half-hour.» Her reply: «I know…» How could you knowingly let 3 people, one who is expecting a child to wait for a table that wouldn’t be served. All they had to do was tell us when we walked in that they weren’t serving food for the rest of the day. We will NOT be returning here.

Omg. $ 5 for melt in your mouth pot roast with mashed and a vegetable. Or two handcut pork chops for $ 5. This place was awesome for well done home cooked meals. They had peanut butter pancakes on the menu, but I didn’t try them. Intriguing. Breakfast served from 6 – 2:30. Cash only, but you won’t need a lot of if!

I remember coming here in my early teens. The food was great and cheap. The prices really haven’t changed too much in over 25 years. Love this place!

Moved from NH years ago to northern VA… it’s hard to find a non-chain breakfast place there… in a plastic stripmall laden congested place where you pay $ 8 for pancakes and $ 10 for eggs Benedict… this is why I love going to The Bradford junction when I visit«home», $ 3.95. For a delicious eggs Benedict ??? What great value!!! And on the way out I purchased a bag of their fresh English muffins(6) for $ 2!!! Bigger and better than Popular name brands… This is my NH… live free or die! I hope Bradford junction prospers in a world where unoriginal restaurant chains and anyone with money thinks they are qualified to open a restaurant.

Okay, let’s start off with their prices… You seldom find places like this anywhere. there was 5 of us, we each ordered a breakfast meal, OJ and coffee… total was $ 23.49!!! How cheap is that? Typical eggs, bacon, thick toast, sausage, ham, blueberry pancakes type of joint. I also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy(white gravy with chopped sausage). The food was good and fresh. I don’t know how anyone can mess up breakfast though. Tip: you seat yourself. Find an empty table and sit. Menu is on the paper placemat of the table. Service was great. Super nice and friendly… Do not go if you are in a rush because they make everything to order. They open at 6am and close at 2:30pm.

I’m torn between the 3 and 4 stars on Bradford Junction. While the food was great(how can you ruin breakfast?) the décor and service was weak. We checked out of a nearby hotel and used Unilocal to bring us to a breakfast spot… after driving miles out of the way, we finally found BJR&B…and the stray chickens outside. We went in, were seated… then we waited… and waited… and waited quite some time before ordering. My husband ordered the Small Berth and I forget what I had. Then we literally waited maybe half an hour before our food arrived! The place was beginning to fill up so I’m not sure why it took so long. The food arrived and it looked pretty basic. Mine was an egg and sausage I believe with a side of cottage cheese and a tomato, very nice and small. My husband had one of everything on his place… including blueberry pancakes. We paid… a rather cheap breakfast, and peaced out. As we were leaving we noticed they sold farm fresh eggs so we grabbed a dozen, $ 3 as well as a Moxie soda… which I had never heard of but my hubby apparently loves it! The place overall was fine… it looks like a trailor on the side of the road and literally as clothes and stuff hanging around it for sale literally as a yard sale and stuff inside the front door for sale., previously owned. Strange place. Definitely a place for Restaurant: Impossible, the host would have a field day here. Small place. Family run I’m sure. Better than any chain iHop. Give it a try if, for some reason, you happen to be passing through Bradford, NH!

Great and cheap! Two people can eat more than they need for less than $ 15.

We sat in the trolley, which was not well heated on this cold March morning. Ordered and waited for our food while watching everyone who had arrived after us get their food. After almost 30 minutes, the server delivered our breakfast, dropped one sausage from the plate onto my friend, said«Oh SH*T», promised to return with another one, and never came back. The breakfast was, BYFAR, the worst food I have ever had. Scrambled eggs were cold and dry, pancakes cold and hard, sausage and bacon overly-salty, and bland potatoes. All of this had been prepared on a very dirty griddle, as the taste of old burned grease was spread through the food. It was really that bad. It’s cheap, and you get what you pay for.

Inexpensive, not cheap! I heard about this place through word of mouth and had to see it to believe it. It’s an awesome diner! The morning is always crowded and it is «seat yourself», so you’ve gotta take some initiative to get a spot.(check the trolley if you’re a pair) Service has never been a problem and the food is on par with any diner I’ve ever been to. This is the best diner in the area. Period.

Started off a little slow at this place… Took a while for the waitress to come over and clean off the table. Once she did all was well. Breakfast for 3 for a grand total of $ 13.50. Yes, that’s for all 3, not one of us. Pancakes were a little(and I stress little) dry, eggs were good, bacon was great. Everyone left full and happy. If you’re in the area and want a decent breakfast, stop in. You won’t be unhappy… Plus, you’ll get to see the crazy décor… tee-shirts for sale, baby clothes for sale, bumper stickers and signs that are sure to crack up some and offend others. Welcome to NH! Live free or die! It’s cash only… so have some greenbacks, you won’t need many.

This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Inexpensive good food. Nonpretentious and, although they make no claims about the source of the food, I have no doubt it is as local as you can get in Central New Hampshire. The breakfast special the last time I was there was two eggs, bacon, ham or sausage and two pancakes with an overabundance of blueberries for less than $ 4.00. Some of the waitstaff are faster than others but when you consider the fact that the place is full and they’re working for«breakfast tips» you have to cut them some slack. I disagree with reviewers who think service should be as fast as a McDonald’s drive-thru when a normal tip here would be $ 1.50. Some people just have no compassion for people struggling to earn a meager living.

I wish i could give this place zero stars, TERRIBLE, I dont care how cheap it is, raise everything 2 dollars on the menu and hire some half decent staff. The place is seat yourself, they dont clear any of the tables and your basically expected to sit down a dirty table or the person behind you will grab it. Then you wait for what seams like forever for a server to come over and great you. She will then clear maybe half of the dirty dishes and take your drink order if your lucky. 10 minutes later you may be lucky to get the drinks and the rest of the dirty table cleaned, only to be greated with«clean»(dirty) silverware a dirty menu and more waiting. Once we finally were able to order the extreamly cheap food, it came out much faster then anything else that happened here, but it was mediocre at best. I hope the breakfast is better then the lunch, cause the lunch was not even worth the cheap price and definitly not worth the gross and slow atmosphere. Place has potential tho, Its got charachter, raise everything on the menu 1 – 2 dollars, hire another waitress and get your act together. Also, the place doesnt accept credit cards, sure the prices are so low you probably wont need to pay with card, but lots of people dont carry cash around when in this day in age you can pay with plastic… I cant frigan believe people gave this place 5 stars…

Had lunch there today — prices just astonishing. No plates over $ 7.95, and most less than 5 bucks. I had the chick cordon bleu with potato and veggies, a big breast piece wrapped around a wad of thinly sliced ham with cheese in the middle, fried crisp with a butter sauce over the top, and a fresh raisin roll on the side. Just $ 4.95 ! They serve breakfast all day(they close after lunch at 230P), and about half of the nearby patrons were ordering off that menu. Try this: 2 eggs, two sausages, two bacons, hash browns, toast, and a slice of ham, all for $ 3.75. Incredible. I added a photo of the breakfast menu — it appears at the top of the page.

BLT w/fries, tuna melt w/fries, french toast, blueberry pancakes and drinks. $ 13.76 total! The whole menu was reasonably priced. Great hole the the wall diner food(one of my favorites). Picked up a strawberry rhubarb pie for $ 7 on the way out. I’m sure it will not disappoint.

We are regulars here but not on a consistent basis. We mostly go for breakfast and the food is great, don’t be in rush when here, they are always under staffed. This is a small town grill/bakery. Where EVERYTHING is made here. The prices are from the 70’s I think. I always feel guilty when I get the bill and end up leaving extra for the waitstaff(that isn’t that great) The tables are usually sticky, and the ware can be questionable. This place definitely has character, The bakery is awesome, come early if you want to bring something home as it is limited, I recommend the English muffins(these are no Thomas). The lunches are awesome too we just can’t get here all the time and they close at 2 or 3 for the day. Also train fans this is a place to check out, you can sometimes eat in the caboose and or the restaurant section has a model train & track around the ceiling, years ago the train was active haven’t seen in years, probably a liability issue.
