How this can pass for donuts is a mystery to us: this is fried cake mix. It is spongy the way way the cake part of a Betty Crocker cake is. It has nothing to do with the fried dough that it is suppose to be. I think the DD corporation has entirely lost sight of what these used to taste like when made by the German grandmothers that came to this country.

Cyndy’s Bottom Line: Good coffee if I can order it right!
Stopped in to get a plain black coffee for the road. I ordered a medium sized black coffee and received cream and sugar with a little coffee.
Oops I ordered wrong. If you ask for a regular coffee in New England you receive coffee that is mixed with cream and sugar. I did not know this.
Next time I will get it right. A black coffee!
